Had some spare time today so I was able to install my carbon fiber chromatics by phantom skinz.This kit was specifically cut for use with the seidio extended battery cover,there is also a kit for the Mugen extended battery sold as well.Was relatively easy to install,and the,actual finish seems very durable and rugged to the touch,absolutely love this Evo more than ever.

Lol,,,yeah this ain't a 10min job here,of your as anal as me you'll need at least an hour,the sheet material is thicker than regular vinyl so you don't have to worry about air bubbles with this job,,the hardest part was angling off the intricate lines to the shape of tje seidio cover,but again it wasnt too bad at all,just gotta dedicate a good amount of time.

other than some protection from a lite scratch here and there I don't think anyone should go out andbuy one of these any real protection in mind.there I coverage on the top and sides but I will still be using my basic black silicone case that I customized so that just the back seidio cover will show off the carbon fiber.the jellie only comes off for a quo show off at the bar,,,then goes rite back on.this thing really gives my Evo a genuine layered carbon fibered look,will never take this off.

Actually the only 2 kits available are for the seidio and Mugen extended battery covers...that $10 China special looks similar to the Mugen,but the hole cutouts are different,so no there isn't a kit available for yours.Butt I'f I where you or anyone else with that $10special id just contact Mugen and purchase a battery cover from them,sure it shouldn't cost more that 15bucks,these extended batteries are all about the exact same size,prob solved.

My girl has the $10 China special and the battery covers can be interchanged on both,so I don't see why u couldn't just order the battery cover itself so that u can get the kit.

The Seidio has been compared to the chinese battery . The Seidio is slightly taller than the chinese battery so with that being said

Seidio battery + Chinese back = no work

Chinese battery + Seidio back = works

I think the difference is 1mm when compairing the batteries (how tall the battery is when the phone is laid flat on its face) *best way I can think of describing it LOL*

Good work with adding the skin, but I can't believe how awful that Seido battery door looks compared to the $10 alternative from China. Yikes.

you can buy the extended battery door off eBay that is from Mugen. I wonder if it would work.
