Help What is wrong with my phone!? I'm about to throw it in the trash!

I have no idea what is wrong with my phone, but if I had another working phone available to me this one would be in the trash!

I just did a master reset on the phone because I was having problems with the Yahoo and MSN that came with the phone. They keep timing out when trying to login and then when I do get logged in (after restarted the phone a million times) it wont keep me logged in.

Then I tried downloading something from the android marketplace and it says starting download but NEVER starts.

Since I did a master reset I'm not using ANY task killer. So what the heck is gong on?

By this point I'm sure you've poked around and by not doubt have heard that this phone has been plagued with issues from its inception. That said there are ways to work around the quirkiness of it. If you're comfortable with rooting and flashing new roms, that is the best way to make the Behold 2 more usable. Even if you're not comfortable with that process, there are some resources that will walk you through it.

A homegrown solution that's a bit more beginner friendly.
Look through this thread, it's slightly more advanced

Now, personally, I sold my Behold 2 weeks before the Samsung Vibrant came out because I couldn't take that thing anymore. I went 3 weeks alternating between not having a phone and using an old Motorola U6 which IMHO is still a superior phone to the Behold 2 and I'm glad I still have it. The guy I sold it to subsequently is loving the phone once I rooted and flashed it for him, to a more usable ROM. The phone has/had a ton of potential but Samsung ultimately dropped the ball by abandoning it. If you're not in the position of getting another phone, strongly consider flashing it.

Another thing I'll add in, as I really didn't answer your question, I'm assuming that your phone is out of warranty, but if it's on T-mobile, their customer care is much better versed these days in recovering some of the damage the Behold 2 has done. Perhaps you could contact them and they'll either walk you through another fix or if you're really good they'll sub out the phone. They have done this before as T-mobile favors customer service over poor experience.

Good luck and let me know how this works out.
