Any speculation or facts about new android phones on Verizon?

I live in the U.S. so I don't care about all these new phones coming out in the UK or whatever. I don't want to get a Windows 7 phone right now and I have no need for a tablet in the near future.

I'm just curious about android smart phones on Verizon. ANY INFO?!

Motorola has been pretty quiet since the release of the Droid 2 in August. HTC hasn't really done anything with Verizon since the Incredible. And Samsung is all about their tablet right now.

I have a feeling we won't see any new devices till Q1 next year :(

wrong section. but to answer your question, if you look down the page in the news section, you'll see that Verizon is launching A LOT of devices on or around Nov 11. the HTC Merge is a notable one. also, Moto is working on a secret device that will be out Q1 of next year that is supposed to have killer specs. on top of that, you also have the HTC Scorpion (although this could very well be the secret device previously mentioned).

yeah verizon has a ton of mid-level android devices coming out in the next month or so. The htc merge would be more of a top-level device (basically a g2) but the big question is if it suffers the same root issues as the g2 or if that was limited to just the g2.

Aside from these phones launching in the next month, everything else is pure rumor and speculation. The motorola superphone may or may not be released in the 1st q of 2011 but either way its months off.

I imagine if the G2 goes well, then HTC might just start implementing the anti-root code into all of their devices. But who knows.

Personally, I love the G2, but am on VZW, so if they have something similar come out on VZW, then count me in!
