Loved my 1st gen one. recently it broke and my friend has one (HD) that is really nice, he uses it for everything. Only down side (for me) is that I was looking for 1 device that does music, movies, books. The zune HD (and zune) require you to change the books to jpeg's and read that way. Other than that, he loves his, and i'm sorry mine broke.

Yea I have one and like it a lot. Better sound coming out than apple I found when I compared using klipsch image s4s.

Really slim. Really light. Nice UI. FM Radio. Apps. Internet browser. Wifi PC sync. Listen count. Available Zune Pass. Wifi Marketplace.

Are those the new Klipsch in-ear buds that just were released? I have the Bose AE2 headphones.

I heard the apps suck but that the music/movies portion are ten-fold better than the iTunes Store.

I purchased mine 6-8 months ago.. Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphone. $80 and they sound like $200.

I don't really care about the apps since I have android. But the music/movies portion is sick. And the Zune pass means you can listen to almost anything you want for free for $15 bucks a month - DRM protected. Then you get to permanently keep 10 of those songs each month (DRM protection removed) so it's really $5 a month to download and listen to as many songs as you want on your Zune HD player (as long as you have the pass) and $10 to permanently keep 10 songs DRM free each month.

Sometimes there are albums that aren't available however.

The Apple Touch is nice if you need a PDA type device with all of the apps and to keep a calendar and all of that stuff.

But the Zune HD owns the Apple Touch if you are buying it solely for multimedia purposes (music/video).

Keep in mind it's not that big. So if you are looking for an EVO type screen for movies, this is definitely not the player for you.

Here's a question: If I have MP3s on my PC, can I just upload them directly to the Zune and play them w/o problems?

I can't wait for the Zune HD2 to come out!! I wanna try the WP7 games in the Zune Marketplace right now ><

Has the HD2 been confirmed? I've only seen rumors.

What is the largest size Zune HD? I wish apple or Microsoft would make a 160+ gb touch screen music player.. They would have my money in a second. As far as Zune goes I was told it has a much better amp so everything sounds much better then most other portable music players. Fact?

Err. If they do this I hope they don't compromise the multimedia experience and sound quality to compete with a PDA type device.

That would be a shame (for my type of usage). I already have Android.

Thats true. What i'm looking for in the Zune HD2 is: a bigger screen 3.7'', The same Zune HD UI, having the ability to play WP7 games, Xbox Live integration, Have all of the features incorporated from the Zune HD and extra, 1 ghz processor, AMOLED or S-AMOLED screen, and a front and back facing camera :D

i wish they took the hardware for the zune HD and turned that into a phone, dont change a thing. hell keep the same UI from the zune HD and just add a small phone option under the list. still whenever I use a zune HD i love how when you select music or something it essentially zooms into the list and then zooms in more and more to each subsection.

You found it 3 months later? Exactly where was it hiding? lol

I've been looking for a good MP3 player. I now have a 28GB mp3 library (according to iTunes) and really... the 16GB microSD card in my Droid X really isn't cutting it. I don't like having to selectively choose what I want on my mp3 player/phone. I was really torn between the 32GB Zune HD and the 32GB iPod Touch and decided to go with the iPod Touch because of screen resolution and apps (Netflix + Hulu Plus). What I hate about it though is the back. It's like a requirement to get a case for it unless you want the back looking like a cat went to town on it.
