Accessories 3500 mah battery- what am I doing wrong?

ok, so I bought one of these on ebay from a us seller. it cost a couple dollars more than buying it from china or hong kong, but the added bonus of getting it in 2-3 days as opposed to 2 weeks was certainly appealing. anyway, I've charged this thing up, let it run all the way down, tried anything I could think of, but no matter what the battery doesn't last as long as the default stock battery. if anyone has one that is actually working properly, can you please tell me how you charged it, for how long, and what you did. at this moment, i see no need to have the big door on the back of the evo and ill just use the stock battery. where am i messing up?

no. I was using the charger on the phone. I let it charge all night though, even after the light turned green. would an external charger work better?

I'am not an expert but from what I've been reading on posts some people say they charge better on external charger. If you leave it in the phone you should charge it till light turns green then unplug turn power on phone off for like 30 sec then plug phone back in and let it charge again till light turns green. Has something to do with phone only wanting to charge 1500mah then will not charge be on that, so I think when you turn phone off then recharge battery it will charge 1500mah more....does that sound right to everyone else.

I got 32 hours with average use on a single charge. I first charged it, then let it go all the way down, then charged it again- but on a wall charger. It holds a good charge. I bought two from two dealers- one from Hong Kong and the other from the U.S. (ebay) both hold a good charge.

Its going to be one of two things effecting you .
1.) The Battery you got is a dud , I personally went with Seidio . Yeah it costs more and the back plate is purely something either one person likes or hates . Me I want my phone to run and stay powered up regardless if I use it as a MP3 player , surf the web or play with apps . If I wanted a fashion accessory I would have bough such a thing for that purpose . Seidio has a quality control in place for their batteries . Im going to assume these batteries are the white labeled ones from china(yes I know they are all from china).The white labeled batteries dont have the quality checks ran on them . So yall might have bad batteries .
2.) Charging them , from the threads I have read you have one of two options . You can take the battery and charge it in an external battery charger . Me I never cared for that route I dont like taking a phone apart just to charge a damn battery . The other option if it is possible is to turn the phone off at night and charge the battery with the phone off . Also when you get up in the morning unplug with the phone off and plug back in . You will notice it will start charging again . I repeat this cycle a few times in the morning mainly since I dont use the phone that early in the morning . Im at home drinking coffee attempting to wake up still LOL . When I am ready to walk out the door (I have plugged and unplugged the phone several times since getting up) I power the phone on and stay at 100% for some time and get great battery life .

In conclusion , if you are only getting stock battery life performance out of the bigger cell batteries you either have a bad battery or the charging bug is effecting you . The phone itself will only charge normally by assuming its charging a 1500mah battery regardless of you installing a bigger one in it . Hence the suggestion of an external battery charger or bump charging while the phone is off . Some on this site say bump charging is bad for the battery but lets do some quick easy math . If the battery is 3500mah*seidio*(measured to 2850mah on battery boss) and the phone is thinking its charging a 1500mah battery . That leaves you 1350mah breathing room of bump charging . I highly doubt by plugging and unplugging the charger 10 times is gonna exceed that much breathing room and should give you a full long lasting charge from the extended batteries . Unfortunatley these are your choices and options . Well untill the phone recognizes it has a bigger battery installed and charges accordingly .

I've tried the bump battery charging and all it does it charge the battery for like 3 min when it's already decided it's full then goes back to green (this is with the phone off)

im going to try a external charger next.
