New Lock Screen (2.0.1) Sleep Time

Has anyone noticed since 2.0.1 update that when you wake the phone up and don't unlock it the screen will go back to sleep much faster than it normally would if unlocked?

I think it's kinda cool.

I just found this new feature as well. Must be part of the battery life improvement objective. Good idea!

I got the update last night and noticed this too... If it's a battery saving feature then I guess I don't mind, but 5 seconds is a little too fast. 15 to 30 seconds would have been better, I'm old and can't quite hit the slider that fast.

Is anyone elses lock screen not centered? Like at the top right of the screen it says Verizon Wireless then below that on the left of the screen it shows the time... Its kind of annoying, it should be all centered.

I believe the new layout is by design. I really like the font they used for the clock.

You can't unlock the phone within 5 seconds? This phone might be more your speed.

And personally, I LOVE the new unlock screen design. The off-center look is much better IMO.

I hadn't thought about it being a battery saving thing, but I'll bet you're right. Yeah it sort of has gotten on my nerves, but I'll bet you're right. If so, that's a good thing.

I also like the new clock and lock-screen layout.

i have a problem with the bottom bar for the lock screen 2.0. i took it off the bottom bar and now i dont know how to go to the setting to put it back on and also to change the skins. and hittting the menu button dosent work. i have a droid. please help. THank You

This thread was regarding the newly-designed unlock screen when the DROID was updated from 2.0 to 2.0.1. You posted a question in a dead thread that has nothing to do with your issue. You would be better off creating an entirely new thread.
