Bye2SprintEvo androidphone

I am extremely disappointed with the Sprint Evo! So much so that I may go back to my simple little metro pcs phone and go back to using an aircard.
I have connection problem after connection problem. If I do finally connect, speeds are painfully slow - even after going to a Sprint store to troubleshoot. I'm also not able to use it with both of my laptops at once.
Looks like the marketing was just all hype. :(!!!
 
Sounds like you either live in an area with poor sprint coverage, or you had a jacked up phone. I WOULD suggest asking for a replacement Evo, but from the way it sounds, you've already returned it. Oh well.

To support my evidence on that, my Evo never has a problem connecting to 3g, nor does it have any issues with multiple devices connected to it through the the hotspot.

Might I suggest sticking around for more than 2 posts? There is tons of info on this site, and plenty of helpful people.

But if you just want to be done with it, apparently joshuar would like to help you with liquidating your problem :p

I wish I would've found this site b4. However, I'm not sure if it would have helped the connection issues. We called Sprint twice and they didn't know how to help us. We also went to the Sprint store and followed the tech's advice but are still having major issues. My husband is in the military and won't be here to help me deal with all the tech issues and our 30 days are up.

I think it's the coverage. It's too bad becuz I liked the phone, especially because of the slide out keyboard.
GPS also gave me issues in certain spots here in SW Florida.
I hope Sprint lets me know when they significantly improve service here.

ummmm.... Slide out keyboard? WTF are you talking about, there is no slide out keyboard on the Evo, it's a slate phone.

Suggest you check the phone model and figure out what you actually have, cause it AIN'T an Evo if it has a slide out keyboard.
