Facebook - How to comment on status?

I believe you hit the word STATUS (I believe it's to the left of the big FACEBOOK logo) then you type away in the box. Navigating the mobile Facebook site works best with the trackball rather than touching the screen.
What he said. Sometimes your last status comes up and you can edit it, but yeah, this is how you update your FB status with the browser.

they're inquiring about COMMENTING on status, not posting your status. For instance, if you have a certain status...and someone comments on it, you'll get an email notifying you of their comment. They are asking if there's a way to reply to that comment....or possibly how to comment on someone else's status

In the past, when I got an email (thru my gmail acct on the G1) about a status comment, there would be a link provided...but when I clicked it, I got a jumbled page. Recently, it's been noticed that when I click the link, it takes me to the "regular facebook" as opposed to the "mobile facebook" page. That might be the difference?

Ya that's how I have been responding to comments as well, but I was just wondering if it was something that I was missing within the actual Android Market application. I suppose this is the only work around until future versions. Thanks everyone!

The iPhone version of the web site stinks. This is what fBook uses. I don't think Facebook maintains that site anymore because they released a native application for iPhone that was developed internally. A source at Facebook has been quoted saying, "Android sucks, it doesn

One thing I've noticed is that there are 2 different mobile sites for Facebook. One is x.facebook.com and the other is m.facebook.com. The first one doesn't allow for commenting on anything, while the second one does.

Now here's the problem. When you attempt to navigate to facebook from a mobile browser, you will (usually) be redirected to x.facebook.com. Also, sometimes when you attempt to enter m.facebook.com into your browser, you will be redirected to the other. I honestly don't know why there are two, but I've found m.facebook.com to be much more useful. Hope this helps.
