Welcome to Android Forums first and foremost!

Secondly, a vast number of people use the Dolphin HD browser instead of the stock browser. I didn't mind the stock browser but the Dolphin one is much better IMO (especially due to the full screen mode). Also, Mozilla Firefox for Android is in the Beta stages and looks to be a future "winner" after some more tweaks.

hi guys -thanks for the info and the welcome - in particular this site seems to display poorly - ie the font is very small from the start and so you have to zoom in a lot to read it - another forum i was on was better after i posted

if you like to visit forums... there is a great app for that.. but sadly it dont work for this forum!!!

from high....to low - cant get all my yahoo mail folders - pim not as good on android - phone not that fast- odd functionality in places - sob - where did i leave my iphone

Dan, on most of the different browsers including stock when first opened they are in an overview. Really annoying if you ask me. If you go to setting in your browser options untick "open in overview". Also from the settings menu you can choose your user agent (ie android or desktop).

If you fiddle with the settings for the default browser you should be able to get the pages to display as you want them. You can set the default zoom level.

The standard HTC mail app won't display your yahoo folders and is generally carp anyway. The Desire obviously works best with google mail.

To display your yahoo folders you can use the yahoo app suggested above or other decent mail apps on the market such as k9 or maildroid.

thanks for that - changed the overview setting and now text is more readable but page is very wide - will try it and see how i go

didnt understand/find the 2nd setting though

The yahoo mail app isn't that bad and I find is much better to use as opposed to fiddling around on the html site. Main gripe with it that they still haven't seemed to have fixed is that you cannot click on any links included in a message. You have to copy/paste. Many have complained but they haven't sorted it with the past couple updates.

Give it a go anyway. You can always uninstall!

+1 for dolphin too.

Thing is with Android compared to iOS you have to set more up out of the box but it's ultimately a better and more personal experience. Can understand your initial panic but trust me it'll be all good

You now have the phone of the year and not just the runner up!

think i might have sorted my internet issue - fingers crossed - seems could be my old sim - was 3g, but poss not hspa/da/dpa or what ever it is called

hi - when i search for dolphin in market - it seemed to list lots of add ons but couldnt see actual browser there :/
