Root Can someone fix this... Black notification font on Fission Theme.

It should be a setting in one of the xml files in the theme, an easy fix for someone who's worked with these (I haven't). The problem is the apk has to be renamed to a zip file, the xml has to be converted to a text file with a certain utility, the setting has to be found and changed and converted back, then it has to be tested. If an issue arises, it's the whole process over again.

I must say, I AM partial to blue tho.... :D

That's simple, just rename the apk to zip, open zip, substitute your xml file for the one in the file, (don't need to be able to open the xml file), name back to apk and voila.

(Note to self, don't install a theme right before bedtime....)

Installed this, the directions said to mount it, or don't mount it, your choice. I didn't.

X booted up, then I was in forced-close hell, one after another and couldn't get past the unlock screen.

Did a battery pull, went into Mot recover, cleared the cache, rebooted, saw CW recovery and didn't take advantage of it, selected clear cache and reboot again and again FC hell. Now I've got a trashed phone with deodexed OTA and need to get into CW recovery to restore my backup.

I wonder if this technique works with the X: How to Escape the Force Close Loop of Hell - Android Forums

I got my X back up, but think I'll wait a couple days for my shorts to dry out before I try this one again.

haha yeah I understand that.. I gave up on it. Im trying out the new Tranq 3.0 out so im just going to swap out the images in the NEX theme with some of the Blue one so I can run it on Tranq. Alot more flexibility with themes on other roms than on Fission.

EDIT: IT WORKED!!!!!! its the regular NEX theme but instead of the green its blue and the text is white in the notification bar. :)

I briefly installed this after Tranquility 3.0 and must say it's very nice, just can't read the status bar messages. Also flashed the 2.2 sbf (to repair my boot animation) so guess I've done just about everything at least once this week.

RE: Tranq 3.0, nice idea, but still needs some work. My email (stock) didn't work and didn't want to go to a lot of work so had to dump it. Make sure you change the boot animation to something you can live with before you move onto something else.

Think I'll stick with themes... like this one.

That's be great.

I've only installed this successfully once, and that was after Tranq 3, maybe after flashing to 2.2. Any other time, even when mounting system, I get FC hell and can't get past the unlock screen. I'm using 2.3.15 OTA, deodexed, which works with all the other themes. Just failed twice in a row. Back to BlackBar.

Yeah the theme in the OP was made for the fission rom. I got 2 working blue themes. One like the one in OP and one with a circle battery indicator that is blue.
