Email arrives in my inbox on either corp or gmail account. Is there an external led or light that indicates to me that an email arrives? Blackberry has a little red light that flashes....if my Samsung Fascinate doesn'thave this then it would be the first thing i would claim i miss from the blackberry.

There is no current LED light. I think there is an app you can use NoLED or something like that on the Market that can suck battery power and generally prove itself worthless unless your are absolutely anal about having some form of indicator saying that you got an email.

My brother in law was so upset over all of this that he dumped his Fascinate and went back to his Strom. Me, I just grab my phone when I return to my office and mash the button on the side to see it light up with puzzle pieces for new mail.... or not. If so, I slide the puzzle..... if there is no new mail, I set it down and it goes back to sleepy time.

While I am actively in my office (not really active in an office... I know!) I have the volume at the minimal setting and clearly hear the email/text alart, so that is not an issue. I see no point in the LED other than what my Bro in law has as an issue.... If he wakes up at 2am and his phone is flashing whatever color, he knows before he moved for it that there is a email or text. I wake up and have to check manually.... except I don't check because I really don't give two flops of a pancake if you email or text me while I sleep. I'm sleeping, go away!

Nope, but the one I have is nice, and I haven't had any bugs (yet). I'll wait until they tune it up a bit, then give it a try.
Agreed. I, like many of us, have learned the hard way not to always rush in and flash within minutes of the latest upload. I mean almost every one of these ROM's, kernels, flashables, etc. has a revision posted within 24 hours so prudence has taught me to let others guinea pig it.

So there's a working BLN kernel now... Two, in fact.

They're only available through ROM Manager, though. Go to "Download ROM" and look under jt1134's stuff. There's a Voodoo version and a non-Voodoo version. If you're installing non-Voodoo over Voodoo you have to go through the Voodoo removal process first, but why would you do that? ;)

If you've already got a Voodoo kernel, you can just install this new Voodoo kernel over it.
