Hello Nessa and welcome to the forum.

I have the large X10 but I wouldn't be without Handcent SMS for texting, K-9 for emailing, Astro file manager and you will definately need Bluetooth File Transfer (until the new update reaches your phone anyway!).

The joy of a lot of the apps are that they are free so download them, see if you like them and then either keep it or ditch it. Just keep an eye on your battery life as you install apps... occaisionally you will get one that eats your battery for some reason - I had a battery app of all things that absolutely killed my phones battery.

Hopefully others will chip in with their ideas.

I find Opera a lot faster than the stock browser. Much more intuitive too. Vignette demo is a good camera app. XiiaLive Lite gives you 100s of shoutcast radio stations. Hanashi is a good free chat messenger which is free as log as your friends use it and have a free data plan. AmbientHome is supposed to be a good home replacement screen but i haven't tried it yet, i'm waiting for the 2.1 update anyway. :D

Zimly -> The only way I found to delete playlists. It's also a media player.

Album Art Grabber -> You can apply an album art image from any picture on your phone or search on the net for one.

Real Calc -> If you need more than +-*/ operations. Square root, trignometric functions, and much more...

Vignette -> A camera application. The Demo only have limited Mega Pixels. Allows you to zoom, apply image effects and frames. Although, nothing you can't do later on your PC. Remember: the zoom and some other functions are done by software so you will only lower your picture quality.
