Accessories Seidio Innocase

Buyer beware on this one.

The regular Droid one worked fine but this one won't stay sealed.

.

I had this issue when I received my case when they first came out but I found out by pressing it closed on both ends the same time I finally got it to seal "Snap" tight & haven't had an issue since. I'm not trying to say it will work for everyone but after playing around with it I got it to work for me. :)

Thanks for the info. I've tried that but this one just will not stay sealed. I really wish they would just send me another one so I don't have to pay more $ on shipping. When you buy a nearly 30 dollar case you kind of expect it to actually stay on the phone. I think I'll grab one from the KIOSK at the mall like I should have done initially. The guys from Seidio are clearly on the Android forums promoting these cases so I figured I'd give it a try but obviously I won't be buying anything else from these guys. Interestingly enough email to the "Sales" email address posted on their website fails so maybe the company is struggling.

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

sales@seidioonline.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 <sales@seidioonline.com>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in relay recipient table (state 14).

Hello,

Thanks for your comments and we apologize for your experience. If you have not done so, please PM us your order information and we will be more than happy to assist you!

Regards,

LOL

I'll just do it here.
Order #367271
How about a shipping label so I can return this one or ship me a case that works?
Maybe a refund?
But I'm not spending another penny on this worthless case with additional shipping costs.

Bro, I got the seidio innocase too and I've been trying to replicate your problem but mine stays shut like a nice clam chillin on the bottom of the ocean wit a droid x. Anyways I think you had a bad case that's all and personally I think u shuda tried calling seidio a few more times rather than throwing the case out. I had an issue wit my original droids case and I just sent them an email wit some pics and they sent me a new case didn't even ask for the old one back. you could try calling them again even to u threw the case out already. I think if u call them up show the cstomer care rep the video and be nice abt it theyd prolly ship you a new one. tho I can understand how frustrating it is if a $ 30 case hanging off your dx like that. Good luck with whatever you do end up doing.

Also this doesn't mean the company is struggling or trying to ignore you. A lotta email servers don't accept emails from gmail addresses because they blacklist gmail servers as spam. I got the same problem with sending to sbcglobal.net email addresses so I just have to Email from my secondary non gmail account. If you do call them one more time You should probably let seidio know that your gmail address and possibly others are being blacklisted by seidio's email servers.

Well just like any other product out there on the market, you'll have a few lemons make it out the door... looks like you got a lemon. Personally, if I wound up with a $30 dollar lemon I would have hounded Seidio until I got either A.) a new, working case. Or B.) a full refund. Did you PM SeidioSeidio as he suggested? Worth a shot.

So, I have to say I feel for you my man. I certainly wouldn't be happy with a case that didn't lock either. Now, that being said, I too have a $30 dollar case ($25 for the case plus shipping on Amazon) from Seidio, the Active X. And IMHO, this case is worth every penny I paid for it. There is nothing to come apart or fall off of this case. It offers superb protection with a contemporary style all its own.

If you like the look of the Seidio 'Rugged' case, but are afraid it's too bulky, I would suggest giving the Active X case a try. I'm very happy with mine.

Guys,

U heard the man, PM him and fix you up! :D

by fix me right up you mean "spend more money on this rip off?"
You see they want me to spend more money and pay for the shipping of this thing back. I don't think it is unreasonable to not want to pay for additional shipping on this POS of case. Further more I've been told by customer service that they would send me out a shipping label in order for me to return it for free. That has never showed up. It's just total run around and I'm not looking for help here I'm simply trying to help show others how terrible this case works and how weak their support is. I've sent off the info and posted it here. Still nothing has been done to correct this situtaion that doesn't involve me spending more $ on this 30 dollar case that won't even snap together properly. Let's say I pay for shipping back on this clearly defective case the total cost of this thing is now 12% higher for me. No way. I can buy a whole new case at a mall kiosk for that. For 30 bucks this case should work. I don't think that is unreasonable.

If you're selling a product to the Android community and all of these devices require a gmail account how bloody stupid would you have to be to add gmail to a block sender's list?
Did you think any of that through before posting?

Furthermore, this doesn't make any sense because my gmail addy works just fine to their other addresses posted on their site. I send and receive just fine to their tech support addy on the same IP and same domain so gmail is absolutely not blocked at the mail server level. I really appreciate your theory but it absolutely does not hold water technically. Also, FYI SPAM filtering\domain blacklisting works differently from delivery failures as a general rule via RFC 5321.

Quoting from RFC 5321, section 6.2:
"As discussed in Section 7.8 and Section 7.9 below, dropping mail without notification of the sender is permitted in practice. However, it is extremely dangerous and violates a long tradition and community expectations that mail is either delivered or returned. If silent message-dropping is misused, it could easily undermine confidence in the reliability of the Internet's mail systems. So silent dropping of messages should be considered only in those cases where there is very high confidence that the messages are seriously fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate."

UPDATE: sales@seidioonline.com fails but sales@seidio.com works. Error 550 is DNS related.
