Fascinate Front facing camera?

I didn't know if the flash was part of the camera assembly or not. There was some debate on xda if they had the same camera or not. Does anyone know if there is a complete teardown of the fascinate I definitely am going to try this if I can gather more information about it and knowledge if the drivers from the vibrant will work once we get 2.2

I registered just so that I could take part in this conversation. I guess I was going to register eventually anyway.

I'm trying to open up my Fascinate so that I can verify that there is room for the camera. I've watched the video of the guy opening up the Vibrant, but it doesn't seem to be going as easily for me. I've trying prying the back apart where the clips may be, but I'm just not having any luck. Any thoughts? Anyone tried this yet or want to give it a shot?

Thanks!

So I've gotten the body open and done some exploration. It looks like the headphone jack is blocking the spot where FFC would sit. Maybe it would be possible to put it underneath, but it doesn't look like it. This teardown was a bit more complicated than the i9000, but it is still possible.

If anyone can figure out how to get the display up, please let me know. I wasn't able to do so but would like to in order to scratch off the Verizon logo.

Forgive the picture quality. These were taken with my iPhone 3G. Without further ado...

This picture shows the square spot where the camera sits, along with the headphone jack in place right below it (top of the phone is down, sorry). The round slot is where the vibrator motor sits.

Another shot of the whole assembly with sensors lifted, headphone jack removed

This FFC project isn't looking too good. Thoughts? Are these pictures showing up correctly?

I'm just curious, what information would Uncle Sam be gaining from looking at peoples' faces as they stare at their phones?
