So, after whining like a massive baby for the last few weeks I am now making an effort to get the best out of my Desire (especially seeing as the HD may not be as wonderful as I was hoping - based on the discussions in that forum).

So, this morning at about 6:30am as I was about to leave for work I popped the back cover off my Desire and took a photograph from my balcony.

I have to say I was genuinely surprised by how it came out.

It wont win any awards but it's ok, and it made me think we should try and showcase our very best photos.

Anyone want to contribute?

And yes, I'm well aware that the view from my apartment is awful.

hi widehead

not a bad pic. the desire cam seems to make the light areas of the pics a bit to bright though, dont you think? I dont know if this is a saturation or contrast issue, but it seems apparant in this picture too. it is probably something that could be fixed with a software update.

id like to know if you left all settings on auto or if you adjusted anything for this pic, also did you specify a focus/metering point by touching a particular part of the screen just before you took the pic?

cheers

the desire z has a better feel function to it
desire HD for some reason lacks build quality. i can see the battery side cover and sim covers falling off and breaking quite easily
also the covers dont seem to flush fit

Seems to be the general consensus.

Ive a really really beautifull picture for yuz !!!

LOL!!

Here's my try!

I don't think it's done a bad job at all considering the huge range of light levels in that pic. I assume it was aimed at the far distance, which is has quite a range of light and dark, but details in the sky and on the brighter building are good. Depth of field is impressive for such a small lens. Considering it's a camera with a tiny lens built into a phone, it's a pretty decent photo.
