Help Did I just receive a broken droid?

Hey guys. Just got my new droid a few hours ago. And i'm already having a weird problem. When I power off and on I'm stuck at the motorola logo. It seems like the droid boots normally because I can still play with the lock unlock and the silent sliders but the screen is stuck at the motorola screen. The only thing that fixes it is taking the battery out for about 10 min or so and then trying again. I tried a hard reset to fix the problem but it didn't work...

So tell me guy....did I receive a bad unit and do I need to return it now? :\

Common, but you shouldn't have to put up with it in a brand new device. I would exchange it for a new one.
