Root [ROM] CyanogenMOD 6.1

CHECK ROM MANAGER!

XDA Thread: [ROM] Cyanogen 6.1.0 Stable Release

All main issues should be reported at the thread above. But I'll keep this updated here.

FROM THE OP:

CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 2.2 (Froyo) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.

PHP:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * The CM team is not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, you getting fired because the alarm app failed, or anything whatsoever.
 * Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */

Please reply with your experiences, inquiries, and love for one of the smoothest, rock solid ROMs available for your device over at XDA. I am also open to ideas about what else to include in this OP including links to themes, juicy nuggets of relevant info, or known issues (should we find any that are repeatable).

For now, please enjoy this excellent release, and kick a few pennies up to Koush. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Known issues:
-Cyanogen default auto brightness adjusts only once, so moving from light to dark results in protracted dim settings.
-While disconnected from the charger, trackball wake will intermittently fail. This is a known bug and has been filed as such.
-Flash Test does not do anything for applications that don't have a customized setting. It should still blink using the systemwide default green when a real event comes in.

Solution Sets/Workarounds:
To install the new Market and avoid FCs:
1) settings-applications-manage and delete cache for the market
2) wipe cache
3) wipe dalvik cache

Rather, sounds like 4G and HDMI isn't working yet, so that's the extent of the mention.

The latest Incredible cyanogen nightly builds have been and are essentially 6.1, I think. They're pretty stable so far, at least for me (build120). Haven't encountered a single crash (internal 8GB storage still not working, obviously), whereas the 6.02 release for the Incredible still gave me problems.

[ROM] CM Nightlies Report (Progress Towards 6.1.0) - Page 107 - xda-developers

Some people are saying all phones got it but the Incredible, the Legend and the Droid.

Unless the nightly builds of 6.0.x have added the features of 6.1.0, I challenge that statement; rather, it's a little vague. I'm running my nightly build and I have all the interactive features that appear on the 6.1 changelog (camera/camcorder autofocus, touch to focus; theme tweaks, long-press back to kill, notification pulldown bar panel, quick PIN unlock, quiet hours, long-press search to message/voice search, etc).

6.1.0RC1 got released , but not for the Incredible. The nightly builds are another thing altogether. Of course, the moderate ROMer probably wouldn't bother with the nightly builds, but honestly, and again, I haven't encountered any bugs with build 120.

edit: *woops, wrong build number.
