Vibrate on email and SMS Notification

Hi,

I got this problem, 2 days ago. the SMS and email notification vibrate is not working. Previously, it is working when I receive SMS and email notifications. I already toggled SMS and email vibration on each app but seems it doesn't help. I also tried restarting the phone but the problem is still there. but on incoming calls and games the vibration is working fine. it is also vibrating when is set the volume rocker to vibrate.

any suggestions?
thanks

The only thing I can suggest is that you try a repair / reset via Sony Ericsson Update Service, this will wipe your phone but restore it to factory settings and ensure that the firmware is up to date. Make sure you back up or sync your contacts and follow all instructions regarding battery being charged etc.

I have seen this posted elsewhere so maybe it is a bug within the programming on the phone.

Maybe others will have further suggestions about what to try, but looks to me as if you have already checked the standard stuff.

Yes, that is what i am planning to do next.

I have looked on other forums regarding this matter, it also happened in other brands like the Motorola.

I also suspected that it has something to do with Handcent SMS app. I have uninstalled this app but the problem is still there.

I already solved this issue... I upgraded already to android 2.1, and restored my backups. and it seems this problem is still there. It took me hours to figure it out. I have read some forums relating to this issue. Some have solved it using a third party app called "sound manager". This gave me an idea that a third party app could have affected my vibration. Last thing I remember, I just uninstalled the app "setting profiles" for the reason that I think I consumes some of my juice. Maybe I messed it around before I uninstalled so I reinstall it again. There is an option to vibrate on notification and I just toggled it. Then I tested the vibration on notification and it worked! Then I uninstall setting profiles again, then everything seemed fine now. :):):)
