I had an iPhone but but switch to Verizon for the Incredible. I love the phone but the one thing I miss about the iPhone is how wide the screen was. The Inc is to narrow and makes it kind of a pain to type. I've been checking out the Samsung and noticed the screen is wider much like the iPhone so i've been thinking of either selling or trading my Inc for the Fascinate I'm just wondering if anyone has gone the route i'm thinking of going. I really like HTC Sence and i'm not really a fan of Samsungs UI but I heard rooting the phone makes it better. Just trying to get some feedback, thanks.

I switched from the Incredible to the Fascinate, its a great phone especially once you root it and "de-bing" it, I too was a fan of the HTC Sense, but if you use Launcher Pro its even better!

If you do decide on getting the Fascinate Welcome to the club.

Good luck

i hated the incredible's battery life, it was inadequate for a superuser (har har) like me. The SAMOLED screen makes it so much easier to see in the sunlight too.

Anyways, +1 to using Launcher Pro. You should check out LP and compare it to sense.

I must agree, with my Incredible after some morning heavy use (Wifi, surfing, texting and Slacker) my battery was at 50%, I could not survive the entire day without charging, with the Fascinate however, my phone lasts all day! I usually charge my phone over night, by 11pm its at 8% its amazing how much better the battery is on this phone.

Also remember the "Free" version of Launcher pro doesn't include the "widgets" such as people, calender, etc that you are used to with HTC Sense, give it a try first and if you like it I would seriously suggest you purchase it, its Great!

I'm currently using Launcher Pro with my Incredible because I like having access to to the dock on all my screens. The only real widget I like in Sence is the calendar widget but I found that Pure Calendar works just as well. I'm close to pulling the trigger but I need to find someone that will do a straight up trade with me. Since this is my only Verizon phone I can't sell it and buy the Samsung because I can't be without a phone for a week. So if anyone sees this and wants a Incredible PM me. Thanks for the feedback guys!

I switched back to TWiz after using Launcherpro for few weeks.
IMO launcher pro is nice but it lacks certain polish that TWiz has. again just IMO.

there are things about each that I perfer but can't win them all I guess.

twiz has polish? :)...to each his own, im sure you arent the only one who likes it...personally i think both lpp and adw are miles ahead of it.

Well I made the switch and overall i'm pretty happy. When I first got the phone and started playing around with it I didn't mind TW all that much, it was better than alot of the video reviews made it out to be. In the end though I downloaded LPP. The extra real estate on the screen is great, no more cramped keyboard and much easier to type. The screen is awesome, bright and crisp. The voice quality compared to the Incredible is night and day, so much clearer, no more garbled voices. Reception is about the same on both phones, I don't noticed any difference there. The only negative I have found so far is the vibrate on the SF is weak, very very weak. I haven't had a chance to see how the battery life is yet but i'm not expecting anything worse than what the Incredible had. Overall i'm pretty happy and think I made a good trade.

yeah vibrate on the incredible is kinda outta control in my opinion. the haptic feedback felt way too strong in my hands, so by comparison the fascinate is weaker but imo better. :)

Well after having the phone for a few days I'm pretty happy but I did have a few questions.

1. Whats the best weather app? I prefer TWC app but I don't think it like me on this phone. On my HTC Incredible it would follow me and update, with the SF it doesn't update and doesn't follow. The widget doesn't update and sometime I get the Error message saying it can't find weather info.

2. I had insurance on my Droid Inc but now that I sold that and have the SF does the insurance switch over or do I need to bring it into a store and have them switch it?

3. Whats a good lock screen app? I was a big fan of the swipe down motion to unlock that the Droid Inc had, don't like the puzzle piece on the SF.

Thanks in advance.

1. I use Beautiful Widgets, I use the clock/weather widget, but it has several weather widgets. Pretty inexpensive, worth every penny and more.

2. No idea, sorry.

3. Try widget locker, you can put a unlocker on that looks very similar to the HTC unlocker, plus you can put widgets on your lock screen.

Yup Beautiful Widgets is pretty much the gold standard, its not everyone's cup of tea; same thing with widget locker

yeah bw is great. i constantly rotate bw, fancy widget (old), and weather/toggle...

honestly i think w/t would be the best if there was more support of it in terms of uploading clocks. there are a bunch there but no previews, and i forget what they all look like and get tired of switching 20 to find the one i want.
