Root Baked Snacks 1.9

I've been reading on the Baked Snacks forum and seeing mixed battery life results. I'm running Myn twopointwo RLS2 and this ROM is so smooth and stable that I am a little reluctant to move to something else without a very compelling reason.

The battery life I'm getting now is extraordinary, especially for idle time. I popped in the battery from my external charger at 8:15am and with a couple calls, WiFi running and a few web page views I am at 88% at 5:18pm. My juice plotter widget is telling me I have 24 hours left.

Anyway, unless I get word that BS 1.9 is bringing something completely new to the table I'm not likely to switch and I was a BS 1.8 supporter.

I just installed it today. so far so good, very snappy and they put a couple of goodies in there i'm going to test out soon. it's now OC @ 1.2 and UC at 245 w/o using setcpu. I did a benchmark test and I didn't like the results. so I'm installing my netchary kernal back now and see how that works

It's funny but when I read this it put me in mind of the man that goes to buy some new shoes. He tries the shoes on and they fit great and look really good. The salesman tells him that they are a size 10. Well he normally wears a size 11 so he tells the man to bring him 11's because that's what he wears. Of course the 11's don't fit nearly as well and cause his feet to hurt sometimes but he buys them because that's "his size". The moral to this story kids is that you shouldn't get caught up in the numbers. The "fit" is much more important. ;) No diss to philly0128.

I'm running BS 1.8 with kernel #6 and works great. I've been considering trying Myn's release. Are you using the stock kernel? Have you done the battery tweak?

I thought maybe the download wasn't complete the first time but i downloaded the rom a few times and it cannot be opened says something about an error with the signature when i tried to see what was in the archive. When i tried to flash it the first time it put my phone into a boot loop I had to wipe and reflash 1.8 to fix it

Once you open a ROM archive you cannot zip it back up and then flash it. It's not like a regular zip file. Download the ROM but do not open it. Place it in the root of your SD card and try to flash it again.

I have been running 1.9 since it came out. I had a few problems at first but all were found to not be ROM related. I mention this because, I think there may be more people out there like me that are constantly changing things. This makes it hard to isolate problems when you have them. In either case, my battery life is great and my phone works exactly how I want it to, no benchmarks needed.

(update)
Forgot to mention that I also used Ziggy's kernel to much success with this ROM. I am back on laptop1 so I can test a few things, but will probably flash ziggys again.

I tried to dowload this file again from the link you provided thank you but ithe same thing happens from the file uploaded to the site the install is aborted and the file cannot be opened afterwards I just reflashed 1.8 again

I re-flashed my phone over the weekend downloaded it no problem on Saturday. I dint read this whole thread but are you downloading on your computer or phone? I've seen it suggested to use a computer, and transfer it to you phone via USB.

I'm using Baked Snacks kernel #6 with Myn's ROM and I am not using battery tweak.

Hi, I was wondering if you would be so kind to send the BS #6 kernel my way. I donated my $5 on baked snack shack and they still haven't accepted me. I can't find it anywhere..I'm currently running Kings BFS#6 with Myns 2.2 and have heard that Myns2.2 with Baked # 6 is off the wall with battery life. I've even tried extracting the native roms that the kernel is included with and have yet to find it. Thanks!

I have been using Kings number 11 which is currently listed in my sig. Battery life is "ok" but I haven't been happy with it. I'm not sure if its just me or not. I heard others have great battery power with my combo. I will try that Kernel and see if its different.
