For the moment it's not possible but tis feature is in the pipe and has to be carefully optimized to not drain the battery even if it's charging ;-)

The best way to know is to try it ;-)

But as far as I can see my application is pretty well used world wide if you have look to Real Time Traffic you can see where users are ;-)

I use and like this application. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the top information bar takes up too much screen space and the screen doesn't center enough when traveling north. This means there is very little of the map showing to the north. Also, when a person is traveling north, it is very hard to see what is ahead because the "Your Location icon" might be all the way up to the status bar before it gets centered in the screen again.

Is it possible to hide the status screen (user selected), or make it smaller, or center the your position icon more frequently?

Have you tried going to Menu > Preferences > Follow me Frame Size and changing it to a smaller percentage?

Yes it's the aim of this preference. You can ask the cursor to stay in this frame expressed in screen size percentage.

If you feel the notification bar and title bar takes too much place on your screen you can also play with Menu > Preferences > Progress Bar and Notification bar options.

Unfortunately it's pretty hard to make the map rotate as it takes too much CPU and too much network accesses and by th way reduce battery life

On a side note, how long does the collaborative traffic display? It seems like it shows a persons track for perhaps an hour or so. Is that right?

Collaborative Traffic is erased after 30 minutes.
