How do I get rid of Srint Tv and Sprint Navigation along with all the other crap

I have Android 2.2 on my EVO and it comse with apps I will never use, yet they are always on in the background. I have ATK, just sick of always killing whats not needed. Any suggestions?

the only way to remove the bloatware that comes with the phone is to root it and remove them one by one....

hello and welcome.

first off, there is no need to use a task killer on the Android OS. the OS manages memory on its own and it will kill off apps that are in memory if it needs to. just because an app is in memory does not necessarily mean its running. you should read up on task killers to understand what goes on in the OS. Android is much different than other OS'es.

in order to rid your self of those apps, you need to root your phone and remove them yourself, or load up a 3rd party rom.

Welcome. The best thing you can do right now is read "All Things Root." Everything you will need to know is in there.

We were all new to Evo forums, but many of us had the advantage of joining when the Evo was being released, and in very short supply. At that time, the questions you are asking were front page, top-of-the-fold, day in and day out. Everything was new and exciting (to me anyway). Where the challenge was working up the courage to root, now it is finding the best Rom/Kernel combination and performance tweaks.

As for rooting, it's so easy it's funny. It's all in the prep work.

After rooting I used Titanium Backup Pro to remove all the non essential apps I wasn't using
