I'm anxious to hear when we'll receive FroYo. Check out the some quadrant tests I took. Took 3 to get a decent average.

First off Specs:

-- LG Ally --
-- Velocity v3 --
-- Turbo IV kernel customized for velocity --
-- 800 MHz O.C. --
-- 2.1 Android --
-- Few tweaks of my own --

So I ran 3 quadrant runs, got theses as my results (I was impressed):

Now, they're not bad, in my opinion; compared to what i've seen from others.

Just imagine what this device is capable of with 2.2, especially with OC, custom ROM, and custom kernel...
Discuss, and post some Quadrants you have that you're impressed by.

Thanks Trident for the great velocity ROM :)

Its definitely a solid device with the addition of customs roms, kernels, drellsidee's jit complier and of course, overclocking. Obviously, I'm anxious to see what it can do with froyo. However, with velocity 0.3 I have gotten quadrant scores above the nexus one 2.1 score. Very impressive for under 800mhz and an outdated arm architecture.

Another opportunity to thank the dedicated developers of the ally. Thanks so much guys!

I doubt the platform is going to die anytime soon, Froyo or no Froyo, so that's a bit of a silly statement.

If Google decided, tomorrow, to be incredibly unpleasant to devs and they all leave, Android *will* die.

I'm not saying this (admittedly silly) case is going to cause that. But you shouldn't say "I don't care if something helps devs because I'm not one". Without them, the platform is nothing. Being friendly to devs keeps them developing for your platform, and devs on your platform make it exist.

Just a thought.
