Root BAKED 1.8 vs Myns 2.2

ok so i have been playing around with BS 1.8 and Myns 2.2 and i seen ups and downs with both with battery life so i am looking to you guys to help me what you guys are getting for battery life either with BS 1.8 and myns 2.2 with king #11 kernel

seems like ppl from what little post i seen saying with the myns package with kings is getting great battery life like 14 hours and with medium or heavy use i got 14 with BS 1.8 with light to medium..

so what are you guys getting with battery life and your set up i like to get medium use with great battery life

So show me ur battery life and lets the battel between baked snacks and myn start lol

I can't speak for BS 1.8 as I have never tried it, But I can give you my numbers on Myn's 2.2 with Kings #11 Kernal.

Yesterday was my first day on Myn2.2/King#11 and I used the phone pretty constant throughout the day checking it out. When I put it on charge last night, Up time was just over 14 hrs and awake time was 5 hrs 22 min. After 14 hrs there was 15% battery left.

Today I worked more than played and got 14 hours up time and only 2 hours awake time. After 14 hrs 30 min, I have 62% battery left. At that pace I could get close to 2 days on one charge. No complaints here.

Myns on stock Kernel....up time: 7:17...awake time:1:32...battery left....40%. This is my first day so we will see. Not feeling all warm and fuzzy about battery life just yet. I do like the ROM although they need and "Old man's font package"!!!!....I can't see shit on this thing the font is so fine....hahaha.... I will have to mess with it some more. I think I am gonna install that battery tweak and then see what happens....

Havn't experienced the market download problem, but yes flash the kernal just like a rom.

what about set cpu. I'm trying to get better battery life. I'm actually using same as you. Same theme and kernel (#11). Need to change that in my sig.

Exsaint, I honestly don't know what they are talking about. But if they are talking about THE battery tweak, then click on the myn's 2.2 in your sig and then the battery tweak is item number 2 in the notes....like I said...not sure if that is what they are talking about.

There is no stupid question. Most of the tweeks are just sync tweaks. You don't really want your evo searching for stuff all the time.

• My email (pop3 and gmail) syncs every 30 min except from midnight to 6:00 am it syncs every 4 hours
• Facebook (friendstream) syncs once per day, so I just manually sync it before I read it
• Google talk - go into the settings and uncheck auto sign in. This thing in the past was a huge battery killer
• weather sync is every 3 hours
• screen timeout is 2 min
• NO animated wallpapers, cool but do drain battery, although i do put them on when I hang around my iphone friends
• GPS stays on but everything else (4g, wifi, bluetooth) i turn on only when i need it

I am currious if setcpu would get better just by underclocking when the screen goes off. I might try that in a few days for a comparison. I hope this helps.

According to your sig you are using Kings #11 CFS which still uses HAVS if I am not mistaken. According to some folks, setCPU profiles do not play nice with HAVS kernels.

Gotcha! Thanks! I'm pretty content with what I'm running. Myn is beta testing the new Warm right now. Probably not going to make any changes until its available to everyone.

I am familier with this tweak, not sure if its worth it or not. Has anybody tried it?

I have done it. It does work. I am getting 16+ hours on medium usage. I unplugged last night before going to bed and it was at 90% when I woke up(obviously idle/standby all night). RIght now I am at 53% with 14 hours off of charger(again reference the 8 hours I was asleep and so was the phone). But, I have been using it heavily this morning including about an hour of talk time and at least an hour on wireless tether. I would exepct it to last until bedtime tonight with light usage and maybe early evening on medium usage and then until around 5pm if I keep hammering on it.

We are running the same combo but I see that ur battery yard shows only Android system but mine shows that plus Android OS why is this?

Myn RLS 3 is out to donors right now or, last I heard, should be available to everybody on Friday. I am not as familiar with the Baked 1.9, but you should check out his site for info on that.
