Hello everyone:

I recently purchased the Samsung Epic and I am just getting acclimated to all that the phone can do.

It is my intention to optimize this phone's potential as a tool for work.

My biggest challenge right now is battery life.

I have downloaded the app killer and I have killed several apps but the battery conitues to drain rapidly.

I recently left the browser window open. Is this a major source of battery drain?

How can I maximize my battery life without stripping my phone of many of its rapid recall tools?

Welcome to the Android Forums!

I think you'll find that App Killers tend to help increase battery drain. They kill unused app's while the OS continues to re-create them. This isn't always the case but it happens frequently with newer phones. One thing you might want to look at is the battery management profile in use. On my Droid X depending on how I set the battery profile I can literally double the life of my battery. I'm pretty sure Samsung has something similar on their phones.
