launcher pro themes?

I could have sworn I saw a LPP theme here where it was more sleek looking with white instead of black back grounds...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You wont be able to update from the market if you have the themed one installed. I'm quick to update my versions, though, if your patient.

No, but you won't get the widgets which is the majority of the theme.

You uninstall the stock one, then install the themed one. When you go to put the widgets on your home screen, you have to re-enter the code you got when you bought LP Plus.

Actually, at least on the themed versions I have used, if you back up LP in the preferences first, uninstall the stock version, then restore settings after installing the themed version, the code will automatically refresh and unlock the Plus features. That way, you don't need to find teh code and enter it all over again. I am not 100% this works on Benny's themes, but on at least 2 others I have used, it works smooth as silk.

It didn't when I installed it. All my homescreen settings and apps came back but none of the widgets loaded. When I tried to put back the People widget (the only LPP widget I use) it told me to upgrade to the paid version.

Most of, if not all, your non LPP widgets have to be re-added manually every time you reinstall the app, even if you had it backed up and restore it.

You have to re-enter your unlock code

As I mentioned before, if you create a backup first, then restore the settings after you install the new themed version, you won't need to re-enter your unlock code...unless you are specifically referring to Benny's theme, which is the only one I have not tried this for.

Benny, if you are around, maybe you can confirm this on your theme.

Oh I saw what you said mahers. I was refering specifically to Btros's problem where he was saying it was asking him to buy the paid version. Wasn't trying to contradict you in anyway. Congrats on your giants by the way!

I am using the XTG Version from this thread and I had to re-enter my unlock code:

[THEME|MOD] 11.01.10 signals23 LauncherPro 0.8.1.1 widgets - xda-developers

This is from the installation instructions for all of those themes:

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED ONE OF MY LP MOD'S IN THE PAST, YOU CAN INSTALL ANY ONE OF THESE APK'S OVER THE EXISTING LP.

IF NOT, YOU MUST UNINSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF LAUNCHERPRO PRIOR TO INSTALLING (either through ADB, file manager or the Market). Make sure you backup your LP settings, then install as normal via Estrongs, Astro, etc. You will still need to enter your Paypal info for the paid version.

So maybe you have re-entered the unlock code once in the past and then never had to do it again because you are installing themed versions over themed versions, instead of the stock LPP.
