Who's picking up the Galaxy Tab and using tethering w/ Evo?

Kind of sucks that it doesn't include the Android Market. Sure, you'll be able to side-load apps but then you need to be connected to a PC/laptop for that stuff. :(

People are linking to here but I can't personally confirm it.

Much less expensive compared to the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab; again if you're cool with Wi-Fi only models, market hack, sans GPS-rear camera, front camera VGA vs 1.3 MP on Tab. If you can accept such compromises can save at least ~44% or ~$220 & it also has that built-in kickstand EVO fans can appreciate

My only concern is trying to get the market, i went out and got the augens gentouch78 and tested that out and it had no market either so i used it and tryed to get the market which was a pain because if you didnt do it step by step EXACT it wouldnt work. it was hard enough finding the directions to but once i got the market and used the tablet i would love to have one not that i cant do everything with my evo but this would make it alot easier walking around on campus because i have wifi wall the time and i have alot of different email and putting my school work into my calendar that i do around campus and typing on the big screen is a whole lot easier then on the evo one because i use it in portrait.

So personally if i wasnt on campus and didnt have wifi all the time there would be no way that i would get one but since i got 3 more years on campus and do alot of email and calendar stuff it would make it alot easier because i would like to use the phone for personal things and tablet for work/school

Why get a android tablet that wont be better than the phone in your pocket? I can see getting a GT if it will be the only smart device you have, but other than that I just dont see the logic.

Like me I think everyone is just getting tablet happy, but I honestly don't think the Android OS is quite ready for it yet. Buying now is like throwing money out the window.

This is when google needs to release the Nex-Tab. I think it would sell way better than the NexusOne. And even having the iPad I'd buy it.

This is how I feel also... I want a tablet, but not running android... Im waiting on a reasonably priced win7 tablet with decent performance...

I like this one, CTL 2goPad SL10 with Windows 7 starts shipping for $499, arrives looking better than expected -- Engadget but I'm gonna wait & see what Acer & Asus have up their sleeves in the next few months before I make a move...

You'd have to literally want to LIVE on your device watching movies... only reason I can see actually wanting 250mb's of storage.

Ever hear of FLAC audio?

I plan on mounting this in my car, and mp3's don't do my sound system any justice.

Not to mention handy tools like Co-Pilot (Live) and such I would use in the car.

7" GPS NAV Unit+ Media player mounted in my car? Yes please.

Dude I want to mount mine in the car too. Can you be sure to post your ideas on how to pull it off?? I'd love to not have to ghetto rig it.

I was thinking of modifying something like this:

Amazon.com: Jeniko ULM-65NB Netbook Laptop Computer Holder Seat Mount or Stand for Cars, Autos and Vehicles: Office Products

That would hold it to the floor. I would use velcro to hold the tablet to the mount.

Can mobile devices take advantage of FLAC? I'm pretty sure it all sounds the same when being played on most current mobile devices.
