Been rockin' the droid1 since release, have an upgrade coming up soon...can't decide if I should:

a) upgrade to Fascinate
b) wait till LTE (from CT, so might be a while till we're covered..."
c) wait for next HTC device (Merge/Incredible HD)

Are any of you Droid 1 owners upgrading soon? I don't really like the X, way too big for my pocket and I'm not a fan of holsters...I'm on a 1 year contract so I can upgrade every 10 months...if I upgraded next week, I would be able to get a new phone next August...decisions, decisions....

Meh I just want a new feel, droid 2 is not much different from a rooted droid 1

I will probably end up waiting...but the screen on the fascinate is just awesome..and IMO 4.0 inch screen is perfect...screen on incredible is too small, x is too big...haha -- I'm picky!

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bing take over all Android phones in the near future...well, all new android phones anyways...I figure I might as well get used to it

the incredible and the droid have the same screen size, 3.7.

and just dont expect bing to be on any droids anytime soon. motorola is holdin it down and i love that!

Yeah, I understand the inc & d1 have the same size screens...and I prefer to use the slide-out keyboard on my d1 for that reason :)

While the droid pro will have google search, the motorola citrus will have bing...like I said, I wouldn't be surprised to see bing on most newer devices...I've heard that Bing is a LOT cheaper to put on the phones than google search (not sure if it's true or not)...just trying to prepare myself for it mentally!

I've pretty tempted to upgrade my Droid, but, honestly, it's still a very capable phone that can do everything the newer phones can do except maybe a little slower. I'll prolly end up upgrading sometime early next year maybe for the Terminator depending on how that specs out and what form factor it takes. I still want to keep a physical keyboard no matter what, so hopefully one of the early LTE phones have one.

Where in CT?

if you are close to NYC then maybe you wont be waiting for LTE that long.

I'm in Central CT....I'll probably be right on the outside looking in on those that have solid 4G coverage from NYC...I'm actually closer to Boston though, so who knows...I still think I won't see consistent coverage in my area till Q3 2011 (when I'm due for an upgrade next if I upgrade this month)

I think I've decided to wait till at least February...if it looks like LTE is on schedule, I will get an LTE-ready device around then...ahhh I've never had an upgrade just sit there for more than a week lol

I'm in a similar situation. I live in central NJ. My zip code gets NY sports, the next zip code south belongs to Philly. From the old days of analog (and even part way though the life of CDMA) I know that the line for different bell 'systems' was about 10 minutes south of me- calls would get dropped when crossing one set of cells to the other frequently.

So depends on how big the NYC and Philly "areas" are, to tell if I get LTE right away or have to wait it out.

I happen to be lucky though and have multiple freebies coming due on my account, so going to pick something up now and then if something awesome comes along in the spring I'll jump on that too.
