Help How to use icon packs, themes, skins, etc.?

Hello all, new to the forum and Android in general. Thanks to everyone who posted reviews and sample pictures when they first got there phone, it helped convince me to make the purchase and I haven't regretted it.

So my question is how do I go about using all the icon packs for the phone or skins for widgets I'm finding? I installed LauncherPro today and am ready to customize but I'm unsure how. After searching I cant tell if i can just unzip the files on my computer and transfer them somewhere on the phone (not sure where) or if I need a third app like FolderOrganizer? Any tips?

launcherpro has a great website with many docks and icon packs (or links to them)

many of the droid icon packs and things like that are found in the android themes section of this androidforums.

with icons, docks etc you just have to put them somewhere unzipped on your sdcard and you they will automatically be available in gallery.
