Accessories Sprint carrying extended battery

If anyone knows where the back cover only can be purchased, please post a link. It looks like the sprint cover is the same shape as stock at the base, so I could charge my Evo in the dock with the 3500mah battery still installed. That would be a nice time saver, as I currently have to remove the extended battery and cover, then reboot with the stock battery and cover before I can place the Evo in the dock.

I am at the sprint store now. They claim it is indeed small as original at base. How much do you want to spend on one?

So far its running great. 4 hours of nonstop music, games etc and Im at 74% battery. The only downside is I used to have a case and belt clip for my phone but no Ive gotta find something else to protect it. I may modify the old case I had by cutting out the battery area but who knows how well thats gonna work.

which case? I was able to cut my plastic ebay case with a dremel it worked fairly well for my first attempt at something like that. I also tested an HTC silicone and though it bowed out slightly on the edged near mid phone..it actually was on pretty snug and tight.

so I ran my first test and got 16 hrs...9 of which was non stop heavy usage.

will post pics later if anyone wants. it died before I got that far lol I was able to grab some shoot me screen shots just as it hit 0

Nice font.

I'll probably pick one up, I don't anticipate a particularly long lifespan with my ebay batteries, although so far they've been great. And at this point I'm invested in a ridiculous amount of accessories. So why stop? I plan to use this phone for two years, no matter how much I want to upgrade next Summer.

The PT case from Best Buy. Its one of the best cases Ive found.

I tried cutting one last night but the clip to ajoin it together is dead center so after cutting it wont stay closed.

Ive gone back to my stock battery after last night almost dropping my phone and not having any protection on it. Im keeping the battery in hopes a case will release soon.

that is the exact reason why I haven't attempted cutting that case. It is a great case,,,but eventually that area that holds it together will wear out and no longer hold everything together.....I have had 3 of them now. (best buy just swaps them out for me) It also has left quite a few scratches on two of my evos

I hacked this case

If its possible , could you take some pics of your case with and without the phone after using the dremel on it . I have thought of doing the same thing to accomidate the Seidio 3500 battery and back . Im not familar with these cases but have seen them in my searches looking for a case to modify . I also know they come in different colors

It depends how you take the pieces off Ive noticed. If you push down in the middle and pull you dont weaken the clasp. I work there as a 2nd job so I just swapped mine out when I wore down the first one. Plus I get those cases with the belt clip for 12 bucks so its a hell of a price for me.

That crystal one looks pretty nice and alot easier to mod for the battery. Hows the clear hold up to scratches? The biggest issue with clear ones I have is they get extremely scuffed up and show after a few days.

Last night our Sprint rep was in and said Sprints due to release a case for the extended battery soon and Best Buy might be getting them. If so Ill be happy as hell and will love this new battery.
