Flying Touch II 10inch Google Android 2.1

Wow,

Close to the Zenithink, but with a few more advantages.

Flying Touch II 10 inch Google Android 2.1 GPS MID Tablet PC

I think you have found a Ringer! This looks to be the same ZT-180 SOC;

CPU: i MAP X220 1GMHz ARM11
OS: Google Android 2.1
RAM: 256MB
Storage: 2GB
Support 32GB extend max
Display: 10.1 inch resistance touch panel
WiFi: 802.11 b/g
3G: support external 3G(EVDO/E1916)
Blutooth: No

But over the old stock ZT-180 this ones adds;

GPS: GPS RF XN203
Battery: 7.4V/3800mAh
Camera: 2.1 Mega Pixel
With Stylus
Interface: USB*2, TF card slot*2, HDIM*1, headphone jack*1, DC jack*1,
Ethernet jack*1

All for $166 + $23.00 (expidited Shipping)... If this one is what it says it is then I can't see why anyone would ever buy the stock ZT-180 for the same price! Whoever designed this packaging and included features Puts to Shame the original ZT-180 packaging designers...

I just got mine yesterday and the screen quality and response is not what I was expecting.
1. the screen has to be swiped using your finger nail or the supplied stylus
2. the whole table response seems laggy
3. I have practically no sound from the stereo speakers (very low sound level) but fine on headphones.
4. I tried to use the GPS antenna but the tablet doesnt seem to be ready for GPS yet (possibly a later firmware update).

Now the bad bits..........
1. broke the antenna connection trying to remove it from the tablet. It pushed on OK but refused to release. Still have the end of the connector sticking out the side of the tablet.
2. Tried to remove the back to see if I could get access to antenna socket and check out speakers... but cracked the glass screen while attempting to do so. Not a very happy experience with this tablet so far!

One more thing. The ROM CANT be flashed like the Zenithink epad as uses different ROM.
Oh well... off to find a replacement screen and instructions on how to fit it.

Don't bother with Davis Micro. I ordered one of these with expedited shipping, advertised as 3-5 business days. After two days the status of my order went to "Processing (1-2 business days)." After it sat there for a week I emailed them twice and sent them a message on their messaging system, with no response. Then I called, to speak with a shrill woman with limited knowledge of English who screamed at me that there was a problem with my payment and I would have to email them, then hung up on me. Of course, my payment had been processed the day I placed my order. I've filed for a chargeback and wouldn't recommend anyone bother with them.

Anyone know a reputable dealer who might be selling these in the US?

Ordered a Tablet from them on the 9th, will be getting it delivered by FEDEX on Monday the 15th. It has already arrived to Oklahoma on the 13th, but too late to deliver.

I have been watching this for a while and wouldn't mind getting one of these, not to mention the price at Davis Micro looks good to me. Absurdist's seeming problems with them made me wonder if I could find somewhere else to get one, but if you get yours. I may change my mind and order one. I look forward to not only hearing you received yours in working order, but your opinion on it once you do.
