Please help!!!, I have JT's Voodo (v.2 Ext 4 installed) on my samsung fascinate, and I tried deactivating it using the voodoo toggle app so that I could flash his super clean rom. Things appeared to go ok, but now i'm stuck on the reboot screen (have the droid peeing on apple) for an hour now. I know JT said wait it out, but I havent read about anybody having it in reboot for over an hour. I dont know what to do??????

you seem to have encountered the problem most us do with voodoo.

battery pull and see if it will reboot on its on own (it has for me)

or you may have to uninstall voodoo completely in recovery you can't (you will loose data)

Ok, now i think i'm screwed. Battery pull does the same thing. I apparently can't boot into clockwork. I had moved the update.zip file into a folder on the sd card to keep all my rooting zip files together. After I boot to stock recovery, I can't get into clockwork because if the update.zip file not being found.

Other help?

Other help?

1-never move the update.zip from the root of the sdcard, the point of it being there is for clockwork
2-pop out your sdcard from the phone
3-plug into a sdcard reader or another phone
4-open up the file its on the card on your computer
5-move it back to the root of the sdcard
6-stick sdcard back in sf
7-boot to recovery
8-apply update.zip

Lessoned Learned. Thanks.

Had to track down a card reader. Actually used a friends phone with my SD card. Totally removed voodoo and basically went back to stock. Kept getting an error msg about some dialer function not working, but rebooted into clockwork and am now doing a nandroid restore of my phone right before I originally installed voodoo. Hopefully, all my problems will be resolved.
And then it will be on to intalling JT's clean ROM, and then reinstall voodoo, though I might try Dirk's LV kernel.

if you are still having dialer function issues, boot into clockwork go to advanced and run fix permissions (yes you can do this from rom manager or #su fix_permissions in a terminal but i *think* its better in clockwor)

also before fixing permissions it wouldnt hurt to wipe cache and davlik cache in clockwork. :)

Thanks nitsuj17 for all your advice!

I'm up and running again. Nadroid recovery solved the problem before I got a chance to try your trick, but I'll remember that for next time.

Now it's time to re-add all the changes that I did after my nandroid backup that I didn't get to back up because they were done after voodoo install.
