LiQuID FroZeN YoGurT v1.9 (BLACK LIQUID EDITION) is now available in ROM Manager and here http://android.markjohnston.us/DL/LFY/ (with tons of theme options).

Stock is a simple black bar type theme, with a slayher 1100mhz kernel. I've been running it since Thursday and so far, for me, it's flawless. Incredibly fast and smooth, lots of features!

downloading now will see how this goes, never tried a LFY rom. is this based of 2.2.1?

So far everything is going smooth, downloaded, installed no hitches. Restoring apps through the TIBU that comes with it is nice saves a small step.

app reinstalling seems to be a little faster than other roms, so far cant find any issues with the rom, its nice and fast.

on an unrelated note, ill definately be changing the boot up, too ugly and low res. :p

25min to download/install/restore not bad at all!

Are there any problems updating apps that are in system (like Launcherpro)? I know with Ultimate Droid, Launcherpro was already included as the default launcher and I (and others) had problems updating it. Had to either take it out of the app folder before flashing and temporarily replace it with something else or use Tibu and some other stuff to get it to update properly.

I don't use Launcher Pro, so I don't really know the answer to your question; however, should it become necessary to remove Launcher Pro from /system/app in order to update, Liquid Tweaks has a System Applications function that makes it easy to remove.

Welp ... I'm back to LFY. 1.9 blows 1.7 away, I can already tell that (at least on my DROID). I came from UD 1.0.0. Loved it, but was missing the LED notifications. Glad to see that they work in LFY 1.9, not that I was expecting any differently.

A few comments...
  • Easy install (no surprise)
  • LEDs work (with the screen on or off ... YES!)
  • Smooth
  • Stock kernel seems good so far
  • Battery life is yet to be determined
  • THE UGLIEST BOOT ANIMATION I HAVE EVER SEEN! EMBARRASSING! (easy to delete tho)

Yeah, I always change the boot animation, anyway. All the themes have different boot animations, and, although I know you have your own, messenger, there are a lot of really nice ones here: http://androidforums.com/liquid0624/191668-my-new-boot-animations.html.

havent been able to give it a full test but battery life seems kinda crappy. I was down to 40% after 5 hours of moderate/heavy usage. (streaming music over bluetooth) wheres as on UD 1.0 this would maybe take 20% of my battery off. I'll be giving it a full test tomorow see how well it hold up from a full charge. also, anyway to change the color of the battery icon on the revolution theme? i cant stand the white percentage text over white battery icon

Ok, I must be a total moron but I've been looking around to find how to tweak this ROM and I can't seem to find it. In UD 1.0 it was nice that everything was in the settings option.

Please point out the obvious to me and help me make this the best rom that I've used...Thanks!

There's an app in your app tray called Liquid Tweaks.
