Help First Name, Last Name...???

Contacts are listed as First Name/Last Name. Is there a way to sort by last name or company name?

I often remember company names but not the contacts... or the last name of a contact but not the first name.

Is there an app or fix coming for this?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about this.

It is a flaw in the software. How Motorola/Verizon would allow contact software to be used that only allows the contacts to be sorted by First Name is something I cannot understand.

Not only can you not sort contacts by anything other than first name, but you can put contacts in "groups" in Gmail or in "groups" on your phone, but the "groups" don't sync between Gmail and your phone. How stupid is this???

This is one of the serious software flaws of this phone. Unless you want to pay for a new contact app from the Marketplace, there is nothing you can do about it.

Actually, Contact Group Manager will utilize the groups you've set up in gmail. It will also show your contacts by company.
