tmobile Mytouch SLIDE: upgrade to 2.2 while in Hong Kong

hi guys/gals,

im new to android! moving away from blackberry bold.

i'm getting a mytouch slide (tmobile) unlocked and going to use it in Hong Kong.

Is it easy to upgrade to android 2.2 in Hong Kong?

Doesn't matter where you are, just root it and install a 2.2 rom.

It's not hard in my opinion.

2.2 is not officially available for the MTS, but the folks at xda-developers made a ROM for the Slide.

Just make sure to understand what you're doing before you brick it. It voids any warranties on the Slide if you attempt to root it.
