Help Droid Eris screen flips out

I don't know if I'm the only one having problems with the homescreen flipping all the way to the left, but I have gone through 3 Erises with the same problem. Let me know if your having the same problem as I am.

Hi, I'm having the same issue as well. It started a couple of days ago. It will do this regardless if I'm charging or not. Also, when it starts sliding to the left it's really hard to make it go back using the trackball or fingers. It also does it regardless of what app I'm using. It's made it difficult to type messages sometimes because the typing line moves to the start of the message or you'll catch it in between a word. Also, it makes playing bubble bobble ridiculously difficult :|

Is this a hardware issue or a trackball issue? Is it fixable or should I start looking at a replacement droid phone? I love my Eris, but this problem is making it frustrating to use.

This is a hardware issue with the Eris. Just call up Verizon and ask for a replacement.

You have the trackball issue. Call verizon and they will send you a replacement Eris at least. Considering this would be your fourth Eris maybe you could sweet talk them into something better.

I'm having this same problem as well as the cursor jumping from field to field while I'm trying to enter data. Makes it almost impossible to add a new contact's information.

Did verizon give you a replacement without any problems? I've only had my Eris for a month and I love it! I really don't want to have to go to another phone already.
