Thanks! That worked! But how do i get rid of the text? I mean if have an icon that says Camera theres no point in it saying it twice lol. I tried renaming and deleting it but that didn't seem to do the trick.

(Using some CAPS for EMPHASIS below, not shouting )

You must do the -> Touch screen -> select widget -> folder organizer item ....etc all again.

During the step AFTER you have ALREADY selected "Folder Organizer Item" and then you are asked to select item, and you have clicked APPS, there, in THAT screen, you want to uncheck that box.

Look at this screenshot (not from my phone, from dev site)
See just below "Choose Items" is a green tick in a box next to "Show text under icon"

UNCHECK that box.

THEN select "CAMERA" and you will have a NEW camera icon without text and you can delete the other one.

Think of it like you cannot change anything once it is on the screen, so all settings must occur before you click final app.

You're nearly there!! (Paid version is easier, can change icon as your create widget instead of in advance)

edit: Yeah I did the same thing 3 or 4 times and I was like "..the hell?" so I know what you mean.

Welcome to the forums! Hope your enjoying your DHD.

Spent quite a while today messing around with icons and wallpapers. Found out how to use the Multi live wallpaper. Wasn't as obvious. It just said go to Menu>Wallpapers>Live Wallpapers. And then i was clueless. But realised that there was an option called 'Multi live wallpapers' or something like that. It's really ace to have multiple screens but i'm not using them yet because the widgets just cover them up lol.

Here's my newest screen from now on.

Yes, F.O. is teh awesome. No one knows how great it is off th bat, because it's a bit funny how to use it, but if you think about it programmatically, it makes sense.

So you have the multi wallpaper sorted....cool!

TA for the BGs, should I resize those appropriately for DHD?

Hiya!

To change icons, all you need is Folder Organizer and whatever icons you want to use. Nothing else.

If you want pretty switches that turn things on and off (like bluetooth, gps, etc), there are lots of switcher apps, but I like switch pro because it is elegant and works perfectly.

I accidently bought Pro Launcher icons. (Pro Launcher Plus isn't available on the market place because google doesn't allow the developers country to sell it on the market yet). Even though i bought that app it's still worth it because you can find all sorts of icons for your phone. And you can also only view those for the apps you have installed. You CAN get them from free but that app just saves time searching them on your computer and then downloading them onto your phone.

Very newby question here I'm afraid but what is the advantage of rooting or temp-rooting these phones?

Hey kelly. First get Multi Picture Live installed. Then go to Menu>Wallpaper> Live Wallpaper.

Scroll down to the bottom and select Multi picture wallpaper (Something like that) then you can change the parameters there. You can use still images from your SD Card so it doesn't have to be a live wallpaper.

Hmm. Are the other wallpapers on your SD card as well? Dont see why they shouldn't be showing. Are you using the gallery viewer when your selecting your wallpaper?

You need to check your gallery preferences then, and make sure the other location where you have the wallpapers is checked to show.

Apps -> Gallery -> Menu -> Show/hide albums check what you want to show.
