Help Internet Data

Is it in your applications menu? Its not in mine.

Apologies. I didn't mean it was actually in the applications menu.

If you go to settings > applications > manage applications > and scroll through the list of all the applications you can select internet.

You can then choose to clear the data and the cache.

I was wondering what the data option is, as there is a couple of MB being eaten up by it.

Yes thats what I meant.

I admit I haven't got a HTC sense rom, but all my internet related data is in browser cache and data. I do not have "Internet data". Could it be related to another application? Or maybe its just a HTC thing.

I think it could be a HTC/stock thing, mate. It's not related to any other application as far as I'm aware, so I think furious duck has cleared it up.

You'll lose bookmarks and any settings that you may have changed. Apart from that I'm not sure.

Thanks, mate. I'll be leaving that alone then! :D

On my HTC Desire the "Data" used for the "Internet" app had grown to 6MB and clearing the cache/history/etc. did nothing to reduce it.

So I used an app to back up my bookmarks, then deleted the 6MB of Internet Data, restored my bookmarks, and all seems well.
