I did a quick search and could not find this posted, so go easy on me if this was not the case.

1. Does the Dinc have a way of ending the call automatically when the other party hang up without me having to physically push the end button. I guess this is useful when talking while driving and you know the phone will end the call when you set it aside instead of having to look on the screen.
2. Is there a way to display while calling if the call is connected or the other party still has not picked up the phone.

Just a couple of things that i miss from my BB.
thanks

is there a way for the phone to notify when the other party has picked up...thanks

So you are asking if the phone notifies you when the other person has picked up? I don't intend to sound mean, but the indication is the other person starts talking. Other than that there is no other notification. As you are listening, the ringing will stop and the other person starts talking. If it does not stop ringing, it will eventually go to their voicemail or answering maching if they have one.

And to answer your other question in your first post, the phone does auto-end the call if the person you are talking to hangs up first. I do this all the time. What happens is the call ends, the call screen goes away, and the phone goes back to the home screen. I have not installed any kind of app that does this. The phone does this with no modifications, completely stock.

thank you, this only takes you to the home screen (or wherever you set it) after you click END to end the call..so not really of much help.
and my question still goes for the other issue. is there a way for the phone to notify when the other party has picked up...thanks
Hmm, strange. Mines will take my to my home screen when the call ends, without me having to touch any button. I just wait a few seconds, and eventually it'll just end itself and go to the home screen.

As others mentioned, the phone will automatically disconnect itself once the call is no longer connected (aka - the other caller hangs up). Just keep in mind that they might have the same plan and then you both are sitting there waiting for the other to hang up. So it's always good to make sure when you can.

I assume you want something that pop's up on the screen and says "ringing" and then "connected", right? There is nothing that I know of that will do this (either in the phone or an app). You just have to listen to the phone and see if it's ringing or not. Honestly, I don't remember my BB doing that, either.

Just a couple of things that i miss from my BB.

Thanks guys...
As for the call ending, you are right. the phone does eventually take you to the home screen. It just takes a little longer that what i expected it to be. I have the No Call Log app but i am not really sure if it does anything from that perspective. the only benefit is that I avoid unintentional calls when i am scrolling the call log.

There does not seem to be a way to know when the other party picked up..Just a BB convenience i guess. Thanks to you all guys.
