Hey, when I rooted my phone (2.1) using MCR scripts (I think that was the name :-\) and performed a benchmark test, i received a score of around 2160.
I have now updated to froyo 2.2, rooted it using superoneclick and done the lag fix using Ryans One Click Lag Fix and now when i perform a benchmark test i get a score of around 1692.
Have I done something wrong?

Just googled for MCR script. Yes, that is a lagfix script. It's apparently an early lagfix in Modacco's Custom Rom. (Hence the MCR)

Quadrant scores varies every single time you run it, but to get over 2000 is still quite something. That script must have been a no-RFS script. I have yet to see someone running OCLF or Voodoo getting past the 2000 mark.

Anyway, the score isn't everything. Anything about 1500 should run quite smoothly.

Yeah thats the one! Do you think Voodoo is worth a shot?
And I guess your right, because when I did receive around 1600 mark my phone was was still very fast and responsive compared to when I didnt apply the lag fix! I guess ill just stick with it for now.
Thanks for your time man I appreciate it

you shouldn't rely too much on the quadrant benchmark as it's just a number for fun and show off. I used to have the MCR Scripts too with a benchmark of 2255. Now I have installed a modded version of Froyo JPM and have a benchmark of 1625, but i'm not going crazy for losing that extra 600 points as the rom is as responsive as it used to be with the MCR Scripts. As long as you're happy with the smoothness of your rom that's fine if your quadrant benchmark is low. If you're not happy with it contact the developer of MCR Scripts, you can find him on youtube, i think he was woking on some kind of lagfix for froyo too.

I iniitally thought its very responsive and smooth compared to before, but then my mind quickly swayed to the "bigger numbers = better performance" side of things lol. I am happy with the performance now though I must say.
Also, if he releases a lagfix for froyo ill most likely give it a shot. Thanks man!!
