Root Sense UI to Fascinate!

Sense UI coming soon to Samsung Captivate & Vibrant, Epic & fascinate in the works - Android Life: An Android Community Blog

A team of devs over at XDA are working on porting the new Sense UI onto all Galaxy S Devices. For me that would be so sick, as Sense is the best OEM Android Skin. Hope it doesn't end up like porting Sense Ui to the Droid 1.

i think its cool that it *can* be done. my question though (and this is not a slight at all to these very talented individuals) is why? if anyone wanted sense you could have bought an htc phone on any carrier.

i agree most of hate touchwiz, which is why i wish these guys were throwing in their lot to work on aosp roms, or at the least straight vanilla.

sense is the best oem ui (well i think acer's rocks, but who owns one of them really) but the point is straight google ui is the ultimate goal.

im sure some will like this, but to me thats time/energy that could have been put towards a greater goal.

again, no disrespect towards those guys theyre clearly very talented and did something that looks damn near impossible.

The problem is the HTC doesn't have a 4+ screen on an HTC phone

BTW I'm very very jealous of this. This is why the locked bootloader on the X SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

true, maybe im just a purist but really lpp and adw are so much better than oem skins that porting skins seems...idk....im not trying to rain on anyones parade or not support great work, but........

i want aosp with my lpp. thats my happy place on any android phone :D

sense is..meh

Thats whats so great about this, its not just a sense "skin" SenseUI has a lot of great integration, contacts, calendar, facebook. All this can be achieved with other home replacements and third party apps, but sense does it better, does it faster and more seamlessly than any other mfg UI . Of course that is just my opinion and others are bound to disagree.

yeah i understand your point. just i think differently on it, thats all :D

to me all i like in sense is the lockscreen (well not as much anymore) weather widget (but we all have fancy widget) and the calendar and bookmarks with lpp gives a less buggy version of. i agree some of the 3rd party apps are good as well.

the non-resizing of widgets is a real dealbreaker though. i hate not being to do that.
