This is NOT a thread to bash Palin but instead to EXAMINE if she has a serious point here.

It has been my observations that anyone that speaks out against the Federal Reserve ends up on the losing end. I think Ron Paul got sidelined during his election run. I think Ron Paul has SOME really SMART positions specifically to the Federal Reserve and why they are bad for the country.

Here are snippets from Palin

No offense, but Palin can't even get her cookies straight.
Pennsylvania says Palin crumbled cookie policy

Proposed guidelines suggest, but don't mandate, more nutritious school treats.

Despite Sarah Palin's recent remarks that Pennsylvania is considering a "ban" on sweets at school parties, state education officials say they have no interest in laying down the law on cookies and cupcakes.
For nearly six months, the state Board of Education has been weighing new school nutrition guidelines that encourage healthier food choices, but they wouldn't create any no-cookie mandates.
"This proposed regulation does not impose requirements or sanctions about classroom parties," said state Department of Education spokesman Steve Weitzman. "We are not counting cookies or limiting parties."
Palin, adored by many in the small-government tea party movement, suggested in a speech at Plumstead Christian School on Tuesday night and in postings to her Twitter account that Pennsylvania is thinking of limiting sweets at school, an idea she mocked as the "nanny state run amok."
"I heard there is a debate going on in Pennsylvania about whether public schools are going to ban sweets, cakes, cookies, that type of thing," Palin said at the school to a chorus of laughs. "So I had to bring to these private school students, to show them how privileged they are, I brought dozens and dozens of cookies to these students."

Palin is a demagogue. Period.

So sad that people choose to comment on the Federal Reserve without knowing much past what they read on some piss poor web site, where the crazies run free and unfettered by knowledge or facts.

Bob

Yeah I agree with you. I read some of that stuff on Sarah Palins website too but hey man in all fairness it's her site so she can run crazy as you put it. I happen to think she has a valid point for this item as does RON Paul.

Why don't you comment against the points Ron Paul makes then?
He lays it out quite clearly why the Federal Reserve is bad for America.

It still boggles my mind how people vote against their basic financial interest i.e. Joe the Plumber types.

McCain- Multi Millionaire - still has a job
Palin-after election Multimillionaire-still has a job
Joe - after the election STILL BROKE:D - does he have a job?

So who did that not work out for?
Oh right, the dummy that VOTED for THEM

this makes absolutely ZERO sense whatsoever.....

what you are saying here is because he voted for McCain/Palin is the reason he is broke?....... I dont know if you are aware of this or not..... they lost!!!

so because Obama won he is broke is the end result of what youre saying......... perhaps if they had won he wouldnt be broke....... or if he had voted for Obama that would somehow have changed his financial situation?

No he didn't, no he did NOT! I've got $5 that says Hacker is going to piss and moan because you edited his post even though you basically agreed with him derailing this thing even more.

The downside is that you have to come to Washington, DC to collect. I'm good for it... my 15 children will starve but I'll pay you.

Thanks guys for making this about Palin instead of the Fed.

and to those who like to make fun of the fact that the conservatives who voted for republicans are still unemployted after 2 weeks since the election, please answer why so many liberals who voted for Obama two years after the election are still out of work.

Guys, it really doesn't matter which of these rich wankers who don't care about us we vote in, we're still screwed. Neither of them are going to give us any lube. We really don't have any control and the plastic slime devils we vote in don't even have any control over the chairman of the Fed. There are so many things that suck that we can't fix and we're stuck talking about some broke-assed excheerleader with a reality TV life!? That is some bullshit. I'm going to Canada. Oh wait, they won't let me immigrate there because I have MS. I didn't want to call it "Kraft Dinner" anyway. Guess we're stuck with each other.

Seriously, can someone explain to me why Bernake is doing the things he's been doing other than my suspicion that he's got some sweet deal that benefits him personally in all of this?

This is what people who are so obsessed with Palin remind me of. Yeah... she's the dumb one. Who's dumber, the idiot on TV or the idiot who no longer has a TV because they are so much smarter, empathetic and all around better people?

I hope those who can't be reasonable (i.e. everyone it seems) happen to be in a building that catches on fire and she is sent to warn them and they all die because they're too busy ridiculing her to notice.
