Hi, i rooted my eris with the help from the forums here and i love the improvement of my device. i'm still a little unclear of some things though. i run xtrROM and i love the layout. the firmware is 2.1 and i've read that you can now root 2.2 froyo on the eris now. will i have to use a new rom that supports 2.2 or can i still use xtrROM?

also this may be a silly question but i use some paid apps (beautiful widgets, laucher pro, etc.) when i install those apps again will they ask for the password again...?

xtrROM is 2.1 only - if you want a Froyo (2.2) ROM for the Eris - and you want one that is very stable - you can install CELB, Nonsensikal, Tazz, FroShedYo, or Kaos. You can find out more about all of these here: Droid Eris Android Development - xda-developers

Any app that you have purchased with your Google account will be freely downloadable at any point in the future so long as you use the same Google account to set up the new phone/new ROM. This even works if you factory reset the same phone.
