Help with recovery after root!

No matter what I do I cant get past step 9. I keep getting permission denied. Please help I have been messing with this for hours.

Follow this youtube video it will walk you through the entire root and recovery process it is what I did.

Flashing recovery image is in step #3


If you choose not to do it the way I did above because you have to download a terminal from market place to do it and still want to do it the way you have been trying make sure you have the correct recovery image for the cdma hero and make sure it is saved to the root of your sd card. WHen typing in the location of the recovery image in the cmd prompt make sure the name is EXACTLY as it appears on the sd card. Hope this helps

when I try to download the recovery image it asks if I want to save the file our find a program to open it. I think I might have something wrong there??

Here are the instructions that I have used at least 5 times an they work perfect:


These instructions were taken from a post on xda-developers written by chuckhriczko. All credit goes to him.

I did modify it slightly as there was a small error regarding the location of the recovery image during flash, but other than that it is a copy an paste.
