Rogers Update is Here

Yup, it is the update!! Again: On Rogers, PC Companion, clicked on "START" in the SUPPORT ZONE Column, then clicked "START" on the left column - SOFTWARE UPDATE.
Phone has booted up, showing a logo of a camera with an arrow pointing down to a graphic of the X10. I assume it means it's flashing. Just rebooted again, staring at the words, Sony Ericsson. Funky purple Sony logo animated graphic, now Rogers Logo...all done in about 10 min up to this point. Gonna head to work now for OverTime Shift. Let the phone finishing loading on the way to work and then sneak in a few minutes of play time here and there at work! :) YAYAYA!

still no update through the phone though..... i dont have a PC, im on mac.... ive got a feeling that im gonna have to dload a hacked copy of windows here in the next few days to use SEUS :(

You might have to as the neither of the update software works with Mac, you need a PC to update.

I got the notification on my phone, PC Companion said I was up to date, and then checked SEUS, and now I'm all updated and restoring my backup/contacts/etc. Woot!

depends what mac you got?
you have a intel cpu or a mac gpu?
i mean a core-2 duo or i3 i5 i7 ??? in your mac
or a g3-g4-g5

mine is intel. ive had windows on it before but when i got an iphone a few years back i had no reason to keep windows on it. now that i saw the android light i suppose ill need to install it again. still prefer mac over pc any day though. my macbook pro is 4 years old, beat to $h@T and the screen is busted from my 2 yrold dropping it off the table and it still works just as fast as the day i took it out of the box. no reinstalling of the OS, no antivirus, no tuneups, it just works.... i do have to use my 50" plasma as the monitor now though lol.,:D

I installed Windows on my mac after I got the X10! Bought a cheap OEM copy of Vista on eBay.

so Rogers user with nordic/generic/debranded firmware... how are you feeling? :p
we got 2.1 in a pretty nice time
most of us updated Saturday, and works like a charm, no lag, no shit from anything
in my case
incall volume is fixed, battery usage: fixed, well everything is "perfect!"

Likewise. And I can now have BT audio in my car and have hands free phone calls again. FINALLY!!!!

I know people moan and groan, but I still like the phone. And if they came out with an X12 running 2.3, I think I would go for it or the Samsung Nexus S which is also rumored.

Nothing sucks the celebration out of my shiny new 2.1 update quite like a Twitter update from RogersBuzz saying "Good news, Acer Liquid E users! 2.2 update is out" -- I glared at my husband (who owns the Acer liquid E) and say in an annoyed voice through angry gritted teeth, "I've got good news for you." LOL

So later today he'll be downloading 2.2 and I'll be brooding, rofl.

Ahh well. I still love my phone.

I updated yesterday afternoon via SEUS and was very disappointed when I couldn't connect to the internet with 3G or Wifi, lost all my contacts, all my apps and nothing would sync....I was almost ready to throw it out the window, cursing myself for updating when I was perfectly happy with 1.6.
Anyway, I prevailed and put the thing to charge to a full charge and lo and behold...everything is working Grrreat!!!

I've got some work to do getting it back to how it looked before, but I'm enjoying my new look X10...and yes, it looks to be faster and more responsive. I can't comment on any of the other upgrades since I only really use my phone for making calls, texting and browsing. I'll be updating the wifes phone later on today...

Cheers,

FrankieGenius
