Root [KERNEL] StupidFast v1.0.36 (Stable)

No kinda funny ends up I just had to press the home button and it just started working..ended up getting it working with the help of some great members got to throw out another big thanks to SAPS
Yeah if you are in regular stock recovery the button navigation is different than clockwork. Most people  the first time they hit the menu button and get the apparent dead phone. Sounds like you are rapidly getting yourself up to speed though.

And yeah I think most of us are using geeknik's kernel; its the best

this is such a great kernel. Soo stupid fast.hence the name.. wow i love it. no more voodoo and worrying if i screw it up

its been good for me after a day of use :)
Agreed, battery life on with interactive governor has been very good. Took me 17 hours to hit 50% battery on what I'd call light-medium usage. Today will be more of a drain since I'll probably do my usual Sunday streaming for NFL. Had for me to access performance and battery life difference between Conservative and Interactive, maybe I'll switch and monitor.

Insider info: tonight geeknik attempts to build v1.1 targeting 8.5 linpack he says, not sure he's joking or not. Hard to extract cpu gains from memory timing tweaks but if anyone can..anyway cruise by irc in the evening and you might see a familar face or two there ;)

Recommend a Rom to go with this Kernal?

Popular setup, super dark rom

[ROM] Super Dark (REUPLOADED) - xda-developers

With stupid fast kernel. Flash kernel first, then rom.

It's what I run, I call it StupidDark

Nope geeknik didnt do any kernel building last night he was barely on at all yesterday and we both agreed sleep was a priority. He's helping is sister move today so I told him to watch out for his fingers as he'll need them for typing. His goal was to build 1.1 tonight based on ideas he has for improvements. But he is brainstorming a 1.2 which might might feature all the current goodies plus OC & UV:D. He gave a definite maybe to that idea at least.
Otherwise it was really dead and still has been this morning. Im about to try and see if I can set up one of the irc apps like andchat or yaaic so I can stay in touch while mobile too. I think Im going to be traveling a bit this week and I hate being out of the loop now at such a critical time in the dev process.
Oh and birdman loves beer too :p

No kidding. At least I go to sleep at night.
Oh snap, I dont have a comeback for that :(
 dont make me make a 1click root appreciation thread:p
My fault Saps couldnt sleep last night I was bugging him for help to much, but I gotta say at least I got it done with a lil push lol
actually my friend that was not your fault at all, like my friends Kaessa and nitsuj17 we love helping others with their issues. And I kinda have a habit of staying up way to late [5-6am] on weekends geeking out on this stuff
Ok so for maybe another stupid question..should it still say kernel version 2.6.29 after installing stupidfast? Maybe 1 day I'll have this figured out and quit asking so many ?
yes that is normal, that number is the android 2.1 eclair build and has nothing to do with geeknik or any kernel
dont be afraid of asking questions buddy that how we all learned too and yes I will be up to all hours of the night if you need me. Or if you have 1click root questions hit up nitsuj17 he loves that stuff
