Best rom with sense

As the title states, got a guy here looking to root and install a different rom with htc sense. what are some good ones that are stable/final

As always, Fresh 2.4.0 is very reliable [ROM] 08/30/10 | Fresh Hero 2.4.0 | Incremental Update For Freshness - xda-developers Only downside, developer has moved on to the Evo but many still run Fresh so there is still good support for the rom

Any rom from nfinite will be good also [ROM] NFX-Hero 2.2.1.update1, 9/5/2010 Friendstream+Deodexed/ODEX+JIT & more - xda-developers or [ROM] NFX Sprint 2.31.651.7 STOCK Deoxed/Odex Updated:10/14/2010 - xda-developers nfinite is still working on the Hero, so updates may happen but these are stable

If you want speed with no bloatware at all, look at this [ROM][UPDATE 10/25] LiquidSense 2.1 Stable|PngOpt|ZipAlgn|Odex|No Bloat - xda-developers This rom is based of the 2.31.651.7 rom from nfinite

Maybe worth creating a thread with all the ROMs then all you have to do is C&P or add it to your Sig, LOL You are doing a great job !!

I am most familiar with CM6 as I been on the rom since Aug, the others I have only flashed and played around with for a couple of days a piece

I just flashed NFX 2.1 for a prl update. Wow! I couldn't believe how similar to Sense it was (almost identical), and faaaast. I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact that it was the first time it was booted, but it felt exactly like my Hero the day I first powered it on.

NFX was my first Flash....ahhhhh getting sentimental .
Its nice - I think LS is faster - if you want sense - which i don't!

I just haven't done one in about a month. that's why I did it. I'm still using cm6.

If you want to see all the roms, divided into groups (Sense, non Sense, 1.5, 2.1, 2.2 ) go over to xda. Their wiki for HTC Hero has a complete list and links to all of this. I have had my Hero for over a year and tried a few roms. I like Fresh but always read and contemplate changing. I am waiting on a stable 2.2 Sense rom as this is my lifeline to the world and most importantly family.

I wouldn't wait for the stable 'sense' 2.2 rom, there are 2 stable AOSP 2.2 roms. Just add a few customizations with ADW or LP and you are good to go. Anyways, the CM6/aosp roms will be faster, imo

Is there something specal I need to do in order to update my PRL? Isn't it under settngs? My wife is usng the CM6 ROM and loves it so far. I don't have to uninstall that to update the PRL do I?

You will have to flash over to a sense rom and update prl from there. What is your prl now?

Update prl
Nandroid restore back to CM6

PRL will be updated in CM6

Yep, that is the current prl. You can also try Liquid sense rom, it's much smaller and it boots up much quicker, fyi
