I'm a loyal Juice Defender user. That thing has saved me so much battery life. I do NOT use task killers -- strictly Juice Defender -- and I had fantastic battery life.
Since installing 2.1, my battery life seems equally fine don't get me wrong, but I noticed something.. with 1.6 I couldn't get above 1.9x improved battery life, which was plenty for me don't get me wrong. It was reading anywhere from 1.5x to 1.9x
But now, after only running 2.1 for a day, Juice Defender is showing a 2.2x battery life increase.
I thought "Yay! ... wait.. wait that may not be good" haha.
That could mean one of two things.. it's either saving me more battery life, OR... it's having to deal with more crap to keep the same battery life as before. I'm not sure which it is.
Either way I'm finding my battery life to be very good especially in idle mode. I used to lose quite a bit of battery life in idle and today was the first day I put it down at 100% and went back to it 30 minutes later and it was STILL at 100%. I sort of did a double-take... I don't think I've ever seen that happen
I took a look at my husband's Juice Defender and I also notice on his Acer, which came with 2.1, that JD is also showing a 2.x battery rating. I find it interesting.. I wonder what the difference actually is, hrm.
... I just realized I didn't really ask a question here I guess it's more of an observation.
