THIS IS FOR FISSION 2.1 THAT JUST RELEASED AND IS NOT APPROVED BY ANYONE!

----DO NOT INSTALL THIS AND THEN GO CRY TO THE HARD WORKING FISSION GUYS ABOUT ANY BUGS OR TO THE CREATOR OF BLACKOUT THEME (Javroch).----

YOU INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK AND HAD BETTER BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT IF IT CAUSES PROBLEMS.

I mixed this for myself as I like the blue theme. I literately just loaded it and tested it for internet, text, phone calls, etc., etc.
I never loaded Blackout theme prior to loading this theme. These two are the first two themes I have loaded since installing Fission 2.1.

I loaded the small and tested, loaded the full and tested, and loaded the small again and tested.

I loaded Fission 2.1 as per the directions, did not load any extras from the sd card, and later mixed this theme. I did not use any extras from the sd card for blackout. Im not that smart....I just like blue....lol....

This wasnt hard to do so all credit for anything positive in it goes to Javroch and Fission. Anything negative you can blame me and yourself for loading it.

Im sure there will be updates to the blackout theme and other things....all this again equals you load and deal with any issues of your own choices.

If you run it today, you are running it for as long as I have....so good luck.

If you're worried then just wait. I'm sure more approved themes will be out soon.

I'm a rookie. Use at your own risk.

TestBlackoutKangblue2.1:

Loaded via the sd card normal way.
Download file, drop on sd card, bootstrap recovery, ok, bootstrap reboot.
mount system, install .zip from sd card, pick .zip from sd card, install, reboot.

After it loads, reboot once more for fun.

Notice that it took a second longer then i was used to for the bootstrap to throw up the green writing offering to reboot and other options. So be a little patient. (Boot animation as well).

Realizing this has nothing to do with the theme (far as I know) and just shows what a great rom Fission is, I was trying to push the phone around a bit and see if I could get anything to mess up....oc medium vlt. @ 1350 with no problems and no force reboot:

Pretty sweet.
Now to give it to my four year old for the ultimate test....lol....

From the pix, you're right. If you fix the red to a darker-ish red I think I'd go for it, because I'm a red person. I know you think I'm a green person, but don't let this disguise fool you. I 'm all over red.

The pix of the blue one look like it might be hard to see the icons. What do you think?

Only suggestion I have is to make the menus a black background (or better yet blue) since the options are hard to see since they are white text. Ex in your fourth picture from the top.

lol....a couple weeks or so ago when i got tired of waiting for kang blue to get ported to 2.0.2 (?) fission....tom told me about using 7zip and I started playing. I really know nothing and just find an approved base theme, then go forward with moving over .pngs from what I'm aiming for. My skill level is zip and all credit goes to the guys that actually put the stuff together I borrow from.
About all I've learned to do is borrow others work and apply to others, and mess with some of the battery stuff to get what I want. Gives me something to mess with that doesnt cost money.

I dont even have a image editing software. I wouldnt have a clue, though I'd love to learn. The colors show as they were on the .png's that I simply copied over.
Seems like the pics are close, but dont really nail it on the head until you see it on the phone. I don't have any problem seeing the blue icons, but the screen shot is on a blue wallpaper so that may be what throwing the visual.
There is cyan and green I believe....wouldnt be hard to port over.
lol....yep....I forgot to try to peg you for a color....hahaha....

I know it, I hate that (the white settings background) and was trying to figure out how to fix it. Doesnt bother me enough to give up some color in my phone....but wish I knew how to fix it....
Ill probably spend some time messing with it, did a bit tonight but didnt get anywhere....Im kinda stuck trying to figure out what controls it, where its at, and what I need to borrow to fix it as I dont have anything worthy (or the knowledge) to pull it, change it, and put it back....hopefully I'll get that far at some point if I keep enjoying this....or hopefully an approved theme will come out...lol....one or the other....

Maybe someone who knows how to fix it will speak up or fix it.

I know you're right....school is really important.
Im older now and married with a m-fri. job. Wife stays home with the kid and we try not to spend money....hence the time.

Takes about this long though once you figure it out. I have no talent. All the hard work was done by someone else.
Kind of a little learning curve and then it's just copy and paste. Though getting the animated bat. charge to swap over from themes takes some paying attention. It did take some time to get over the learning curve....for me....lol. (sorry, I just threw up green in the same thing I was quoting and talking to you in....oh well....).

Haha I look forward to getting to that point in my life! But you're doing a good job IMO. And everyone starts somewhere. With all this playing around I'm sure you're learning a lot about the workings of the system and everything.

Additional note:
You may have to change some of your shortcuts/icons or other simple things to the new themed ones. (Old one may not work, should be new ones in the app drawer).
You may also have to put the dx camera back from the Fission sd card if you previously had installed it from there.

Try Paint.net... Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing

They have some great tutorials too. I use it for just about everything.

Looks pretty good. In the future, I'd appreciate a PM of some sort notifying me that you're going to be modifying my theme, but it's all good, you did include a link back, which I appreciate. I'm curious what you took from my Black Out theme though as I don't really notice much, if any similarity. Also, please note which version of Black Out you have made this off of as I am updating the theme often and would like for people to know what version they are running, even if it is modified.

As well, I know that the creators of Fission 2.1 did request that any themes be approved before going up so as to reduce the number of issues. I'd suggest you put this past theme as well, if for no other reason than to make other people feel more comfortable installing it.

Looks great. Downloading now and will let you know my final impressions. I'm sure I'll love it.

Edit: I must not have installed correctly. I downloaded the full zip, installed like normal, now the different apps are blue with blue check marks and blue stars, etc, but the title bar is still white with regular color scheme. Any suggestions?

Edit 2: Nevermind. Installed a 2nd time no problem. Looks great! Kudos.

The launcher menu is caused by launcher pro.

yeah i think we are all talking about the same thing....that ugly white menu....ive been doing some reading online about that and am working on fixing it....not 100% sure yet as to how....
I know where the icons are, but am not sure as to what is intelled yet to remove and reinstall them and not create any installation issues....my experience level is pretty slim....but im working on it....lol....
