Hello everyone :D

I have the Samsung Fascinate obviously but I'm annoyed with one Android feature. I managed to get only my contacts to sync what I want (not e-mails). However, when I send text messages, the message contacts seems to all the e-mail addresses I've previously sent e-mails to.

Is there any way to get rid of that? And why the heck isn't it the same as my contacts?

I think the stock messaging app is very poor, mainly because it lacks customization i mean it seriously lacks customization or any type of configuration for that matter. My best suggestion for you is to get Handcent.

Let me give you one example, that really irritates me with the stock, you can't customize to only display cell phone numbers, so if you have a contact with 3 numbers (home, office and mobile) and you are trying to send him/her a text then you will have to select the cell phone when it pops up.

Fortunately, Handcent has that type of customization, you are able to tell it to ONLY display contacts with cell phone numbers.

The only draw back with Fascinate and Handcent is the lock screen, with the stock app, you get a message notification puzzle, which you unlock and will take you directly to your messages, when Handcent is installed you have to unlock then pull down the status bar then get your message, no biggie i guess but it was nice to just unlock the phone's message puzzle and be taken to your messages.

Anyway, enough babbling hope that helps you somewhat.

Yea, I'll look into it. I don't use the puzzle, I have my phone protected with the thing that lets you connect the dots in the right order ;)

Too much bad stuff on my phone and I don't want kids seeing it! lol

Yup ;)

Well let me know if that works out for you. I really haven't had the problem you described earlier, but I know the stock app will show all the contact information for the Send you enter. (all available numbers)

I love it, but is there a way to replace it on the bottom of the screen? Nevermind got it =)

Handcent SMS is too long for the bottom bar, there's no way to rename it is there? There has to be

Yep, it's called Launcher Pro and it beats the pants off SuckWiz. Try it. Just the customizable, swipeable launcher dock is worth the installation. Not to mention the speed increase and MUCH better app drawer!
